NU has bad timing in this one. It would have been better to get Michigan a couple weeks ago, when they lost three games in a row after their COVID timeout and were struggling. Now, Hunter Dickinson is back to being Hunter Dickinson and the Wolverines have beaten Maryland by 19 and Indiana by 18 in their last two games.

I thought Tre Demps had an interesting take on the key to the game:

Not such a bad first half. Zero offensive rebounds for Michigan, just one for NU.

NU must be last in the nation in shooting percentage inside of five feet.

Michigan made more free throws than we shot. Basically even on rebounds. Even on fouls. We have the chance. Keep it there Cats. I do not want to switch to the Hallmark Channel.

I just don’t get why Williams is in the rotation. Nice story, but he should be behind Nicholson at this point.

I turned the game on when it was 34-33 and Michigan proceeded to go on a tear - I turned it off when it was 48-37 I think. Now I want to watch. Do I have anyone's permission? I will fully accept the judgment of my fellow superstitious NU fans.

Game is so much easier when you make a few shots. I think Ryan Greer has made more 3 pointers this half than in his entire career.

Now if we can only get Nicholson and Nance out there together to dominate the glass....

We adjusted well on Dickinson. Doubling him in the first 5 minutes, dude is such a good passer off the post that 3 pointers look like they’re being taken in warm up mode. We stopped doubling and also got somewhat lucky Dickinson is not shooting well himself.

I don’t say this often but good decision putting Young in. After being up by 5 and the crowd getting rowdy, our offense was completely lost.

And there goes Diabate with his 5th (dumb) foul on Nance. Michigan is getting the NU screw job from the refs.

I just can’t stand this team. That’s why you don’t play Young down the stretch. How does he miss that layup?!

MI got back into the game because our offense was a pass the hot potato over and over again for a good 3 minutes.

No credit for a close game. This team choked down the stretch yet again! It’s pathetic.
