Nice to be on the other side of a bad no-call for a change. Gutty second half by the 'Cats. Nick was Nick. West and Page were clutch. Most importantly, in my mind, we actually outrebounded IU 34-23, giving up only 5 offensive rebounds. That makes a world of difference.

Cats luck out for a road win. Two stupid Cats fouls/no calls by the refs. Lucky for the Cats that Martinelli got hot at the end and Indiana was ice cold in the 2nd half. This home loss to NU may have knocked Indy out of the Big Dance. Nice comeback by the Cats after dropping in the 2nd half in prior games.
It’s true we got a couple that should have gone against us, but I thought the overall foul disparity should have been much heavier to us as the rim attacking team all night. They did nothing but fire bombs all night and barely came inside at all.

Yeah, we benefitted from a bad call at the end and that will certainly be the focus. But you know what? We also deserve a ton of credit for playing great defense in the second half and making things hard for the Hoosiers. And our star showed up down the stretch and made huge shot after huge shot when theirs didn’t.

Indiana fans will ***** (like they always do) about the bad call at the end. But maybe, just maybe, they shouldn’t go about ten minutes without hitting a field goal late in a home game next time. They primarily have themselves to blame.

Good, gutsy win for the Cats. They earned it.

I was just on their board their fans are melting down and already want to get rid of Devfries …. Lol when will they ever learn that this ain’t the Bobby Knight days IU is not that team anymore.

And yet the zebras decided to review it without a challenge! Yeah the non-call against Gelo wasn't good, but neither was that foul call against Tre. And they missed at least five fouls against Nick at the other end of the floor!
Yeah, that was barely a foul against Singleton (if at all), and yet they reviewed it for being flagrant. And Nick's lunchpail, YMCA offensive moves routinely fail to draw whistles when fouls actually occur.

West shows a lot of promise. Much to work with the next three years.
The question was asked whether he would be All BIG at some point and one of the announcers said pretty sure he would if he stuck around 4 years and how far he had come this year

IU hoops fans are the biggest ref complainers other than Purdue fans. Bunch of babies.

And winning is a lot better than losing

And they were 1 and 1s Now that is pressure
Our first tourney year, BMac choked on a 1 and 1 and IU won it with an absurd and one at the other end. Karma fast forward 10 years later to BMac protégé West nailing 4 straight free throws with the game on the line at the same venue.

Of course, our next game in 2016 after the IU disaster was the Michigan miracle so all ended well. 😉

The other cool thing about this game was seeing our superstar take over. The Cats were playing an NBA style two-man game in the second half where they kept running the same simple play over and over. Nick and Jake would be isolated on one side and everybody else would just get out of the way. Nick would pick for Jake, causing their PG to switch onto Nick. Nick would then post up, get the entry pass, and then go score. It was a lot of fun to watch!

When they got #5 on Nick it was clear Nick could score consistently. #5 stopped him once but it was a fluke.
