Northwestern (15-13, 6-11 Big Ten) hosts Iowa (15-13, 6-11 Big Ten) tonight at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Both teams are part of a four-way tie for 13th in the conference with USC and Minnesota. A win moves the team up into T-12th with Rutgers and in prime position to earn a spot in the conference tourney. A loss drops the team into sole possession of 16th.

The game is set to tip at 8 pm and will air on FS1.

Hopefully the less-experienced Chicago-area guys Ciaravino, Clayton and Mullins put up solid performances for their friends and families.
Windham's only bad game in 5 was the one home game against Nebraska.
Can't afford to be nervous. Get after it!

5 minutes to go, pretty sparse still. Decent number of iowa fans. Including right in front of me. 😡

NU needs this one bad. I don't want to count on beating UCLA or Maryland. Let's bank this one and then play with house money Monday. Let's go Cats!

Most of both rows behind me are empty. I guess that’s good as they’re usually full of visitor fans.

Students have a decent turnout at the 15 minute mark.

Thelwell has a nice-looking three-point shot.

Windham's three-point shot always looks like it's going left, but it still goes in.

Iowa 2 is quick, but he’s small and constantly reaching in and grabbing. They need to be calling him more, but he flops pretty spectacularly.

Cats missing some easy buckets, but doing well enough so far. Iowa playing badly, that can’t last, can it?

I see Nicholson has just three rebounds, but he's been a monster tipping the ball this way and that.

Can't believe we're winning as bad as Nick is shooting

Matt getting some blocks tonight. Half time lead pretty small, but yeah Nick has missed a lot of bunnies.

Team working the D hard. A lot of iowas points are , painfully, at the last few seconds or on a rebound.

Nick had some shots go in and out, and I agree, he should have a big second half.

KJ's going to be a very fine player.
He might already be. Love his swagger. Even more, I like his scoring. On a night where Marty and Berry aren't doing much offensively, Windham is carrying the load.

The way Keenan gets shoved out of the way, we might see a lot of that next year unless the incoming frost put on some serious weight over the summer.

So we get another key starter knocked out. What have we done to deserve this?

That close-up look at Nicholson on the bench did not look good. Given how much Fitz just played, I'm thinking we've seen the last of Nicholson tonight.

I saw the kid play 3 times last year. And I saw a B1G potential player… down the road. What I did not see is that swagger you mentioned, the attitude. It’s like he’s a junior in his confidence.

Nick should never leave Dix. Their big man is terrible. No need to double.

Two fouls in a row gifted to IA. Dix trips on himself followed by Harding being pushed by air.
