I’ve watched a lot of great coaches who would never allow a young player to make all the sloppy immature plays Boo would make when he was young. He’d come out immediately, get yelled at and maybe get back in later. But Collins never did that. Ever. He tolerated that crap and now it’s too late.

Buie is not, and has never been the best player. We’ve seen the same crap for 3 years. Overall he is a liability. As soon as roper is back buies minutes should be reduced big time if they want to win.

Your take; not mine. Collins is not silent on this - guaranteed. Does he have the luxury of benching him? I would say not, but you can disagree.
I agree, but many, many on this board have disagreed - it’s an open question. But he did just win us the prior game single-handedly.
Do you watch how other coaches do it? They come out immediately to get the message that **** isn’t acceptable and then they go back in later.
Just because Jim Calhoun (who I know you watched a ton) did it relentlessly does not make it the law. That was his style and he had the bench to make it work. Collins certainly tries to do it when he can.

Calhoun, yes. But I also watched Huggins while in Cincinnati. Izzo does it too. I’m sure many others.
Most of it around Boo. Everyone else did OK or better.
