This is where our youngin have to grow. Mitchel Jr hits two 3 pointers and instead of adjusting the sagging we let him get 1/2 a look and allow a third 3.

And how much easier it could be if we just made free throws!
Martinelli 4 for 10 from free throws including three missed front ends. Even Barry is not shooting well from the free throw line. We would be up by 16 points by now at least

With that little jumpshot of Nick's at the free throw line, his shot suffers the longer the game goes on, imho. He's the wrong guy to get that inbound pass when they're fouling. Berry missed also, but I'd put it in his hands now that we don't have Leach to knock em down.

We seem to blow hot and cold at the free throw line. Didn't we hit 17 of 18 in one game? We'll need to make em tomorrow against the Badgers.

Hard to complain about much in that game. Nick’s foul shooting was just about it.

CCC did a helleva job. Hummel and the studio guys kept pointing it out. Minny has a very good player and not much else. Game planned beautifully. You could see him Coaching players literally for every situation. This is while the game was going on and at breaks.

Called him the best coach in NU history. That apparently a controversial statement

The fact they didn't lay an egg in their first BTT game feels like a massive step forward for the program!

Looking forward to tomorrow. Go Cats!

Very nice effort from the players, bouncing back from the subpar road performance at Maryland.
Of course Maryland is a better team than Minnesota and that was a huge crowd.
This one was never in doubt.
NU is just better than the Gophers.
Clayton played the best game of his college career.
Nicholson was very good, again.
Martinelli played well.
But almost everybody contributed.

I just love the way this team has pulled together after the season got so fractured. The chemistry seems to be getting better with each game.

Six players with three or more assists. Five players with four or more rebounds. Team!

Plenty of mistakes and teaching moments in that game

Not going to disagree with the sentiment (at least since the 1970s), but wouldn't exactly use beating Minny as evidence as such.

Should beat a team w/ 1 very good player and not much else and doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that you should game plan to stop the 1 very good player.

Add to that, haven't exactly had deep runs when the Cats were pretty high seeds, but that all worked out for the best as it allowed them to be rested for the Tourney.

I wasn’t. I just was saying what Hummel said. Which was apparently a controversial statement on the board at the time.
