If Collins is so upset at the officiating (as he should be) and upset at the ticky-tack off-the-ball call with 5 seconds in the half (which he should be) then why not use one of your three timeouts to talk to the refs about it. Hell use a couple.

PSU is full court pressing and often putting two hands on the ballhandler... and yet they have 17 Free Throw attempts to our 7.

Collins doesn't have the respect of Big Ten refs, but it's partially his fault, he doesn't even try. If these same calls were against a Fran or a Brad, can you imagine? They'd blow a gasket. And then they'd get subsequently get calls. But Collins doesn't play the same game, and thus his teams get a terrible whistle year, after year, after year

I have no idea what that last foul on Mullins was. The guy tried to bait him into going up and he stood his ground, the guy totally missed and a second later, a whistle? What did I not see there? Anyone?

Sorry, but we may lose this game by having to beat 8 opponents. This is criminal.

It's now 34 Free Throw attempts for PSU, to 12 for NU. They can bump Barnhizer every time going up... no call. But if we breath on them it's free throws.

At this point PSU players know it and will just sell any contact, they get it every time.

Collins needs to get a T and blow up and point to the flopping and disparity maybe the refs are on the take

I legit don't understand these fouls. Ace takes a step on KJ, puts his arm on him and pushes him as he drives and KJ gets called for the foul?

Martinelli’s offensive game is just so weird. There’s another 270 degree spin for a one-handed five-foot dipsy-do!

Amazing player.

NU won't, they never do

A few things about this that are true:
  • You will never see a Free Throw discrepancy this large against any other Big Ten team this year
  • The TV play by play will talk about "foul trouble" but never the one sided officiating
  • Chris Collins isn't going to do any of the things that Fran McCaffrey or Brad Underwood or other Big Ten coaches would do, if their teams were treated this way
  • This will happen again, unfortunately

You mean like screaming out the refs and getting kicked out of the game, like he did at Purdue last year?

yeah, the commentary team has been doing their best to not mention the absurd foul discrepancy. PSU was in the bonus with 16 minutes to play, which is completely unheard of. But no mention of it.

lol, peacock guy just said these guys on both teams are just fouling way too much.

edit: Leach picks up another foul as Ace leans into him and throws his head back.
