Northwestern (8-2, 1-0 Big Ten) hosts UIC (8-4) at Welsh-Ryan Arena at 8 pm. Northwestern has already beaten two Chicago schools, Chicago State and DePaul, handily. They are aiming for the trifecta tonight to continue a strong start to their season.

On defense they are not communicating the hedge correctly and gave up 6 point needlessly. Hopefully, it get fixed this timeout

Have not been paying a ton of attention as the Providence Marquette game is on my split screen. What happened to the city unis?

Ball movement has been fantastic. Easy looks abound. This is starting to get berry berry interesting.

This team is actually fun to watch. It all starts with defense.

Another dominating half. UIC is not bad. Fewer blocks and steals but the turnovers are forced. This is a solid team. Let’s see how they do in a deep B1G.

I know it is early in the season, but this team seems to be gelling quite nicely despite the talent drain since last year. One gets the impression that Lowery was a nice add to the staff.

The D for NU is relentless. How many offensive fouls did UIC have in the 1st half. Just excellent positioning by the Cats. Oh,oh Stephen Bardo just said on the BTN that the Cats could be a tourney team. No jinxes please.

Gotta get Ty Berry going from three. Don’t think he scored at all in the 1st half and the Cats still have 42 points. Let’s go TY.

Hope we see a little of Hunger before garbage time. Defense needs some work, but he's much better than Verhoeven on offense

I never thought I’d say this, despite being scoreless, Berry is having a great game. He just had possession-saving plays on both ends.
