Wrong. They played a brutal schedule leading up to this and have had numerous injuries. Could you not see the difference in ability?
Silly oddsmakers/bettors. Why didnt they see it?

Losing by 14 at home to them is a bad look.

The other excuse I see is NU needs "time to develop". That's fine, but only if the developing people stay. Singleton could leave if he wants.

Plenty of talent on UW: Diallo, Steinbach, Claude, Kepnang (defensive). They were clearly superior.

Yah - no one has ever made money betting against the odds.

So your argument against development is who we might lose?

I’m really worried about Tre leaving. He can tell we’re likely in for some lean years ahead

I’m not going to get into details for privacy reasons but he sits court side, so yeah… it’s true. Stfu
Oh sorry you misunderstood me. I’m sure there are plenty of $100k donors. But I find it very unlikely than any of them would consider you a close friend. You seem like someone who doesn’t have a lot of friends, but maybe that’s just your persona online.

UW had a level of physicality that seemed to totally catch us off guard. Guys were going up soft in that first half - not leaning in with the shoulder at the rim - and had their lunch handed to them 6 or so times. The fact we just COULD NOT HIT AN OPEN 3 killed us and put us behind the 8 ball the rest of the way. All that said, UW did look better than expected and I could see them going on a run with their upcoming schedule. But we really didn't bring it last night, compared to Thursday, when we were firing on all cylinders.

I mean, it’s not like we regularly hit threes.

There are a few comments here that are like 'oh it's OK, Washington is good '.

No.

UW was 3-7 B1G and 2-6 overall road games coming in. The Cats were slight favorites. They traveled 2k to ILL and played Thurs night (as did the Cats).

Terrible loss.
A post that hasnt updated to the reality of the modern portal Big Ten.

UW is 46 in the KenPom. They’re a genuine bubble team. Of course, that still puts you as a lowly 11th in the Big Ten, because the conference is ******* stacked. And we were only their third opponent in 11 conference games ranked behind them. They played five top 15 teams IN JANUARY. And their next opponent is top 20 Iowa.

That’s crap luck even when a third of the league is in the top 20 and five of the top 12 teams in the country are in the league.

There is no cute little team survives on guile and a few three stars gel in the Big Ten any more. You better be frogging great or you’re gonna get smoked.

That said, it’s not a team NU had any business getting blown out by, but that’s what happens frankly when Buckets has an off night and a team that doesn’t usually shoot threes well goes 10-22.
