Northwestern (5-2) is on the road tonight at Wisconsin (5-2). The game is set to tip off at 8 pm CT and will air on BTN.

If we continue this terrible defensive rebounding, we’re going to get killed in BIG play. It’s really inexcusable.

They must have five threes already and we don't have one that makes a huge difference we just can't shoot threes not to mention all of our other problems like rebounding and poor defense. This could get real ugly

We’ve turned the ball over five times already and they’re on pace to score over 100 points, it ain’t good. And we aren’t even getting demolished THAT badly in the boards yet!

I was really excited about this team watching some of the early play but now that they're in the Big 10 and playing against quality teams it's becoming quite apparent that this is probably not an NCAA tournament team unfortunately

Guess it doesn’t really matter if the athleticism is better than it’s been if you’re not good at basketball. Trust in CCC but I’m sure he’s getting pretty close to losing it on this group. The defensive effort is awful.

Not sure what to make of this. Wisconsin is playing just incredible basketball. I’m not sure NU is as bad as the scoreboard is showing?

Certainly the fact we have no defense is cause for concern but we can't make a bucket either. Nobody on his team can shoot today

Embarrassing half. Obviously Wisconsin is playing out of their minds but NUs defense is brutal. There’s a reason Wisconsin can’t miss and they have zero turnovers.

This team is soft as hell and doesn’t defend. Both are fundamentally effort. Reid and Page seem talented but not team players. They do dumb stuff every other play. I’m not saying the season is over but it is on the brink.

First half offense: it great but not terrible… when they weren’t turning it over, which they were all the ******* time.

defense: I mean what is there even to say, that was just shocking. Didn’t even get out-rebounded as badly as usual, “only” 6-3 in offense board. Zero turnovers forced, easy buckets everywhere. Even 9-0 margin in fast break points! Wow, yuck.

Why is Clayton playing so much?

It took Wisconsin 60 possessions to score 55 points against TCU. It took them 33 to do it tonight. That's uh...real bad.

Wisconsin is getting whatever they want nearly every possession. I believe we have more than enough offense to be a good team, but the defense is horrendous. Terrible communication and non-existent rotations. I saw it when I was in Ames for the exhibition against Iowa State and believed it would get better with more time together, but it feels like it’s gotten even worse.

Off the top of my head, this is the worst defense during the Collins era. They do nothing well on that end.

I honestly don't think I've ever seen a team be so incapable of holding on to a rebound. It's like everyone's hands are coated in butter while trying to grab the ball.
