Football GAME THREAD: Rutgers vs. Illinois

[czxqa]

Beautiful pass by Wimsatt. Keep in mind the hits that Noah took would have seriously injured Gavin.

[fg7321]

A Lou Gehrig Moment perhaps?

[brgRC90]

I’m not sure what you guys think we should be doing. We don’t finish big plays. And nobody seems able to break a tackle and take it to a house. It’s hard to sustain grind style play the whole length. We have plenty of first downs today. It’s not that we can’t move the ball.

I don't know what he's doing behind the scenes but we are seeing the exact same kind of offenses now as we had the first time Schiano was here even after he was here for 10 years and couldn't blame a bare cupboard. His offenses are crippled, always. The OL changes, the OC changes, the QB changes and the offenses still can't score for sh*t.

[Mr. Magoo1]

Balls

[RUSK97]

WTF just happened there?

[Scarlet_Scourge]

we just saw a glimpse into the future

[RUinPinehurst]

Talent. Nice start GW.

[tychicus.]

Watershed moment of the season

[RUScrew85]

OK, Wimsatt is officially the starter. That was a big time pass.

[jordkap]

Gavin wanted to take off and run but it wasn’t there. Great throw though!

[RUboston]

OMG! I don’t know what to think of this. Nice first pass.

[BillyC80]

Kid’s got cajones. Never panicked and made the play. Wow!

[graystork]

OMG!!!!!
KId's got cojones! Way to stand in Gavin!

[gef21]

That was poise. Lets see consistency now.

[Anon1751594821]

Beautiful pass with defender coming at him.

Best of Luck,
Groz

[rutgersguy1_rivals]

just a tease lol

[FrankZ_RU93]

Wimsatt could have the play of the season

[Scarlet_Scourge]

TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!!!!!

we have a game folks!

[Caliknight]

Vedral is all heart. Big props to that kid.

[mildone_rivals]

Vedral making a case.

[FrankZ_RU93]

Love that from Vedral after 2 exits - Wow

[RUboston]

What a pass for a high school senior!

[mildone_rivals]

Hell of a play.

[rob kight]

Noah!!! Yes

[ClassOf02v.2]

Did Gavin just jumpstart the season?

[graystork]

WTG Vedral. He's gonna be sore tomorrow

[shields]

Great drive.

[mildone_rivals]

What a pass for a high school senior!

Composure in the pocket, good vision and pass under a bit of pressure. Was huge,

[Block R]

Vedral making a case.

He must have checked the board during the break.

[FrankZ_RU93]

Held my breath on that XP not gonna lie

[DHajekRC84]

Anybody not think some QB competition in game not a good motivation ? Vedral is stepping up . Good for him.

[rob kight]

Got to admire Vedral’s guts and efforts!!

[SouthJerseyRU]

Vedral's a tough dude, leaving it all on the field.

[mildone_rivals]

The 9 OTs might be showing in Illinois D now.

[SBP]

Win or not, Vedral is giving his heart and soul. Chop personified

[gef21]

WTG Vedral. He's gonna be sore tomorrow

On the sideline one of the assistant coaches was saying "dont smack his head" to the other players when he was celebrating. I hope they are watching him closely this game.

[SouthJerseyRU]

Give both Vedral and Wimsatt snaps at QB going forward.

[SCNJ]

I can’t believe this coaching staff threw Wimsatt out there, and gave him a complex play on a 4th and 5.

Im thrilled that he made the most of it but that was a really dumb situation to give him his first look.

[Joey Bags]

Ideally we don't see wimsatt again. Next time we see him should be when he is the starter

[rob kight]

Now need a big defensive stop and then a grind it out run game.
