Done with Martinez. He is a great guy... I’m not knocking him off the field. On the field ... year 4... throws pick 6... then can’t hit a wide open WR for 6... it’s over and over and over with him. He NEVER EVER MAKES A PLAY.. But he sure makes the turnovers that lose us games... Broken record for 4 years

He needs to lay out, but the vast majority of D1 QBs make a throw that leads to an easy TD on that play.
And he wanted to stay upright to get into the end zone, since he can’t be confident they would punch it in from there.

This is some major revisionist history. Adrian makes a lot of great plays. He just balances them out with the bad ones. He’s Jekyll and Hyde.

You guys are all wondering if Martinez goes pro or not and he can't hit the wide open **** with no pressure. Sure Toure could've dove... BUT HE SHOULDNT HAVE TO

Mostly agree.

He’s does make plays, he just NEVER makes plays when we need it most

1st half pros and cons

Pros
- haven’t been forced to punt
- run game looks solid
- no pre-snap penalties
- defense only let up 7 points
- New kicker is perfect so for

Cons
- pick six
- defense can’t force three and outs
- Purdue (zero run game) is running at will

Let’s see if we can plug up the run game a bit and keep it rolling on offense.

Have to do what you have to do. Not every pass is good (and that one wasn’t) but you need to bring that one in.
Usually Adrian underthrows it.

Could it have been caught? Yes. Should it have been? Yes

Is Adrian Martinez a good QB? No. He is an athlete that spazzes out.

There are limits to saying that regarding passes though. Put that one on the QB. WIDE FING open. Gives him a much bigger window and still blew it.

There’s always a piano on everyone’s back because there is never breathing room. Between opportunities missed and gifts to the other team, we are always one play away from disaster.
Classic NU: at half, no punts, D has only given up 7 points—-only a 3 point lead.

Again, well said. Makes it even worse when you think how being up 17 could change the entire complexion of the game.

Im going to put it on both of them. QB should have thrown a better ball, WR should have caught that ball.

Is it me or did we completely change our offensive philosophy (that was working) coming out of the half?
