Nothing is “wrong” with him. Geo baker isn’t ready to play 25 minutes at this level. A lot of folks mis-anointed him savior like.

I didnt think he was Jeff Greer.

But everyone assured me he was a massive upgrade over Nigel Johnson.

This is game two. Both of those early assessments were unwarranted. Nigel did well for us and so will Geo. Geo is a true freshman and this is game two. Let's see how the season goes before you rush to judgment on the kid.

He is gonna be a player, IMO

Well, we should have been playing like this all day, but I'm happy they're playing well now.

He’s not playing well but he’s already a smarter player than Johnson.

That fast break was funny. Looked like two Giraffes running down the court with Issa and Eugene and they scored.

Nice run by RU to finally open up a nice lead. Williams has been our best player, by far, but Omoruyi has also played pretty well. Everyone else has underperformed, some by a lot, IMO. But people saying Baker isn't that good are overreacting - he's tall for a guard, athletic, has a nice handle, passes well, but has shot poorly. It happens. We will miss Johnson, though - he was our 2nd or 3rd best offensive threat (and sometimes our best).

After upping our lead to 15, we've allowed them to go on an 8-0 run. That's inexcusable.

Aside from Williams the team played about eight good minutes today. Gotta do better against Cleveland State on Tuesday.
