Very true. But the score is still 7-7. This is a big rebuild. It's going to be painful. We need a new OC. We know that. We need a lot more bodies on defense. We know that. We have no #1 receiver. We know that. Our Oline is suspect. We know that. We just gotta hope they can scrap and fight and pull a game or 2 out. It's going to be a long and bumpy ride. But our history of a new coach every 5 years hasn't really worked either.
When you compound a 5-year rebuild project by hiring a coach who will also be learning the ropes as head coach, 5-years seems unlikely, and the whole project is more likely to fail, in my opinion. He absolutely has to hire a stellar group of assistants, and be willing to shuffle and replace if people underperform.
This is not a knock on Beamer - it is a knock on our incompetent AD. WE have FU money to spend (including on coaching salaries) and we're either extremely cheap or extremely wasteful.
Being the rich girl you'd think we could afford some plastic surgery if we're not blessed with intrinsic beauty.

Now that was a nice looking TD! Rattler better keep it together, because it means he's staying in.
It just boggles the mind that offense than can run a play like that can be the same offense that lays turds like we did in the first half.
Also, why don't we get the ball to our playmakers more often. Bell and Wells are two of our best. We got them each the ball on that drive and it ended in a TD.
Yeah, getting some big pressure on that drive. Would LOVE it if the offense could get a score on this next drive and give us a little breathing room.
Well, it's points. A little breathing room. Hopefully our D can keep up the pressure. That was a pretty drive until it stalled out.

Our offense seems to work when we get the ball to our playmakers, which the announcers seem to be confused why we aren't getting the ball to our playmakers more.

FIFY. People forget that Caslen and a few members of the BOT took over the interview process for the new HC and were influenced quite heavily by some former players.

Yeah, I've been begging for that. I get that he's a positive guy and is not keen on dogging guys publicly. But once in a while I'd like to hear some honest critique of the team.
