Don’t leave out the fact that our DB thought it was basketball game and didn’t want to foul the poor Bama runner as he waltzed into the end zone for the win. When they showed Beamer shaking his head I just knew the disappointment was that he couldn't say any of the superlatives he had ready to go for the post-game press conference.
I loathe this team. I really think I’ve been reincarnated to suffer. Beaner has to go.
Well, the men they're blocking are better players
We're a practice playoff team. We can beat anybody in drills and scrimmage. Come gameday, it's a whole nother story.
If we had a 1st round NFL quarterback we win this game.
Played a great game. Our best player fumbled on our end of the field. Best game we played all year. We need to upset another team to sniff a bowl game. I’ve been critical all year long but thought we played our butts off tonight. Got to get an upset win in conference and beat Clem Tech to be bowl eligible. Can we do it? Maybe, but we lost a great chance today.
It comes down to this: if Sellers hits the receiver up the field on the free play, there's a very great likelihood that we win the game. He just missed him. He missed several receivers today.
Seeing the Bama player tip toeing down the sideline as #1 watches and holds both hands up as to say hands off instead of (I dont know) maybe pushing him out of bounds??? Anyways, the sight of that on TV will probably stay implanted in my brain the rest of the season. It may not have been a game changer but dang it about made me sick.
And makes other completions rather difficult for the receiver, as in low, high, behind…I don’t see how the media view him as first round worthy. He makes some amazing plays, but at the end of the day, a QB has to throw an accurate ball.
I want them to win as many games as they possibly can, but in this era, I hope our AD doesn't even act like bowl eligibility is an achievement. With three patsy wins baked into the cake nearly every year, going 3-6 against teams with a pulse isn't much of an accomplishment, certainly not in year-5. But it seems unlikely we'll even do that. At this point, I'm back to the "just beat Clemson" mindset.
I get you, but he was both surrounded and engulfed, and the defenders were intent on digging the ball out. He was in a very bad situation.
