Gamecocks open as double-digit 'dogs to Kentucky
Opening odds for South Carolina Gamecocks football vs. Kentucky Wildcats at Lexington this Saturday, Oct. 8.
Would take a lot of things we have not yet seen from this team to have any chance.I don’t see us keeping this one close.
Are we tough enough? Kentucky plays angry when they play us.
I have a couple KY alumni/fans in my family. They view Carolina as a rival in the East. Their game with us is a "big" game for them. We are probably #2 behind Tennessee on their hate meter.I will celebrate like we won the Super Bowl if we can win this game.
Stoops has our number and he's in our heads, though. This would be a MAJOR win for Beamer. It's sad that we're in the state we're in that beating UK is a huge win, but it's just so crucial. Winning this game changes the complexion of the season. If we can beat UK, then 7 or 8 wins is on the table. If we can't, then we're looking at 4-5 wins, tops.
He isn’t in our heads…..he is just a good football coach who understands how to build (his type) of program. I hate it….because in the last 7-8 years UK has been head and shoulders ahead of our program in that time. Coaching , univ. sports commitment, personnel selection, development of talent…..all out front of us.I will celebrate like we won the Super Bowl if we can win this game.

The spread moved 4 points in our favor but the o/u moved down by only 1 point on my book after the Will Levis injury rumor.![]()

I'd never bet on Carolina to lose. I'm just not wired that way. So, when you watch the game, you'll be pulling for Kentucky, right? The spread moved 4 points in our favor but the o/u moved down by only 1 point on my book after the Will Levis injury rumor.
I am taking Kentucky and the under.
Betting is strictly business.I'd never bet on Carolina to lose. I'm just not wired that way. So, when you watch the game, you'll be pulling for Kentucky, right?
I actually put a small bet on us to win the MNC (like $5 to win $1,000) and a medium bet to win 7 games so really I am hedging the 7 wins bet.I'd never bet on Carolina to lose. I'm just not wired that way. So, when you watch the game, you'll be pulling for Kentucky, right?
