Wrong. It told me a lot. We have the most emotionally fragile fanbase in the nation.

This board could be a new book called "Garnet Fragility".
Yeah, fans being upset when their team is struggling against an inferior opponent. So strange, completely unheard of.

Clayton White is a good Coordinator, a proven , successful Coordinator, who has produced multiple Top 50 defenses.
Has he out-schemed anyone since arriving at SC? So far this season, our D has looked slow and at times totally clueless. Our only 2 Ws are against teams that didn’t exist that long ago. Against our 2 Ls, the D was non-existent.

Where did all the crybaby negative nellies go? I hope none of them OD on Pamprin tonight.

there is plenty to cry about when you can only manage 20 first half points on one of the worst defenses in college football. Thankfully, the team woke up a bit at halftime. D gave the offense some short fields to work with. I stand by my original position that we needed to score 60 to show a competent offense. Ideally, we’d have had 35 or so by half and have the backups in for the majority of rhe 2nd half.

No. We scored on every drive in the first half. The only reason we didn't score more in the first half is because the defense couldn't get off the field, allowing Charlotte to have long drives that kept our offense off the field. And our coaches fixed that at half.

We won by 36 points and easily covered the 23.5 point spread. No reason to be crying today unless you are on your period.

Two first half drives we had to settle for FG, including after having 1st and G from the 4. Again this is in the context of going up against one of the worst defenses in all of college football. We did well to beat them by more than people thought we would. I was hoping to find out that maybe we’re a better team than we showed in the first three games. But we did not. So it is what it is.

Did this performance make you feel anymore confident about winning any real games
The OL blocking and downfield blocking was improved and the RB's ran with authority looking to run over people which is a nice attitude adjustment (hats off to Lloyd and other RB's). Needing continued improvement with footwork on OL and confidence in what we are doing scheme wise. Good game management from Rattler. Bad interception from Doty but I like his quickness and speed when running. Doty looks like he throws a very catchable ball as well. Defense needs to start the game more intent on getting off the field - adjustments were made and worked well but slow starts will kill us on defense. I know it was Charlotte but had to beat them decisively and gain some confidence in order to prepare for stiffer competition. Building a running game is the key to winning some real games.

It's sad nobody cares enough to start one

One thing I've noticed is since the boards split into two there is a lot less traffic (on both) and interest. A lot of that might have to do with people posting on FB threads like Spurs Up Show etc though. Does make me miss the old days of one central board and it blowing up during and after games.

You blame Satterfield for our defense
I saw last night as a chance to open up the offense, instead they just handed the ball off against an inferior defense that's not going to work against the better teams

There's a lot less traffic on the other one on game day.

You are correct that it doesn't tell us anything about how good we are. But, it at least tells us how bad we aren't.
Right. It doesn’t tell us anything new. It confirms what we had seen in the first 3 games.
