Not sure this thread won't die out with like 8 posts tops, but..

Grabbed Wolfenstein II for cheap the other day. It's pretty good, but I can see why it was only $35 for being a brand new game. Not much different than the first one in terms of graphics, gameplay, etc. EVen the guns are more or less the same, and there's not many of them.

But the story is legit with great characters. And so far, a pretty lengthy campaign. Definitely a fun one, where you basically blow nazi's apart the entire time.

Watched a lets play of the new Wolfenstein. The wheelchair bit cracked me up. When he had to kill the dog, I was done.

The new COD WW2 campaign is one of their best yet. Very Battlefield-esque, lots of stuff to do. Graphics are stunning. The Nazi Zombie aspect is tired and played out, IMO.

Just bought the 3-game Medal of Honor series used for PS3. Like $1.99/game. Those were some really good campaign missions.

It's a pretty messed up game. And that particular part with the dog was tough. You don't actually have to kill the dog, but it doesn't matter either way. And even after that, it takes a long time before anything positive happens. In both games, the Nazi's basically win for the first 90%, lot of characters die.. and then right at the end, the good guys win. But for a lot of , you're kinda like "Damn.. this is bleak".

New EU4 dlc comes out Nov 16th. Can't wait to pay 20 bucks for a few new buttons...

Meh, I'll probably wait for a sale.

35 bucks for a brand new game is cheap. Don't care for first person shooters(assuming this is like the first one).

VPN acting up atm. =/

I wouldn't expect another Elder Scrolls until 2022 or something.

Starfield should release in 2018 at best. Then you have dlc that they'll milk us for. Probably 2022 or so. :flushed:

Glad to hear COD has decided to get into the 2010's.. It was laughable how that game continued down the path of small-map arena-style shooter, changing nothing for over a decade.. while Battlefield, since the early 2000's, has adopted large-scale warfare (while still allowing players to go the deathmatch route, if they wanted to).

I eman, I still won't touch COD until I see they've nailed this.. What reason is there to play it when you still have Battlefield 1 and Starwars Battlefront?

Will be passing on Wolfenstein and CoD.
Been playing The Long Dark in survival mode.
Finished and loved Alien Isolation. Play some IL/2 Sturmovik online when I want to curb stomp some Russian noobs and make them rage-quit.

Waiting for: Metro: Exodus

I'm at work and have limited web access. I tried to bring up Starfield information at work, but couldn't find anything. What's it about?

Basically a couple of e3s ago Tod Howard was asked about the next Elder Scrolls. He said they were working on 2 major projects first. The speculation is that it's Starfield. The name was trademarked a couple of years ago by Bethesda. The other major project was more than likely vr for Fallout 4 and Skyrim.

So, what I gather is that it could be Fallout/Skyrim set in space? Any truth to this, because that would be awesome!

To be fair, I have not played the multiplayer. Just the campaign, so I have no idea about the maps... but the campaign has you in anti-air guns, operating a tank and flying a Corsair/Hellcat.

The F4U is one of my favorite looking designs. Even though the gull-wings are purely to accomodate the landing gear, I've always liked the way it looked.

All speculation at this point. Although a change of pace would be nice for the team. It's better than to keep streamlining elder scrolls the way they're doing it now for purist of series.

He also said something to tune of the technology currently available isn't there yet to do it how he wants it(ES6).

But in what capacity? Are you in a tank that's basically "on rails"? To be fair, a lot of Battlefield 1's campaign had a lot more set pieces than I thought. You had some freedom with the tanks, but not too much.

The campaigns in a lot of these have been throw away. Not since Bad Company.

Wonder if Intel is planning getting back in the dGPU business. Good if true. Nvidia has been owning the market lately. Sucks pay almost 8 hundo for a gpu.

To that end, I’m going to be surprised if Intel doesn’t develop a true top-to-bottom product stack that contains midrange GPUs as well – something in the vein of Polaris 10 and GP106 – but for the moment the discrete GPU aspect of Intel’s announcement is focused on high-end GPUs. And, given what we typically see in PC GPU release cycles, even if Intel does develop a complete product stack, I wouldn’t be too surprised if Intel’s first released GPU was a high-end GPU, as it’s clear this is where Intel needs to start first to best combat NVIDIA.

Pretty linear. Very similar to BF1. But it was a lot of fun.

But, the last COD I played was in the Black Ops series where a lot of this stuff was absent. It was more cocaine-fueled killing rampages, which drove me away. I was drawn back in by the WW2 theme.

There's some pretty intense gameplay on veteran level. There's rag-dolling physics and gibbing. Storming Normandy, Battle of the Bulge, crossing the Rhine. Took me about a week at a couple hours /night.

There are a couple of scenes in the game where I'm not sure how the Saving Private Ryan people aren't suing.

Sounds like they stepped their game up.. which I'm glad to see.

I still laugh though, they can't come up with anything original to save their lives. It's like Hollywood at this point.

I need a new game soon.. but god damn, they take up sooooo much time.

F4U used an inverted gull-wing primarily to give clearance for the propeller - it was 13'-4" in diameter and was the biggest prop ever used on a US fighter. Wings had added bonus of keeping the landing struts as short and strong as possible for carrier ops.

Doing the stupid grind on NBA 2k 18 while waiting for the football game to start.

LOL 100 hours played and only an 81 overall. How are people 99 overall already?

Off to the sec rant to start me bitching about the football game.

Playing COD WWII a little. Nice campaign so far. It really takes me back to the early games. I haven't liked any version of COD since the first Black Ops, but this one looks good and reminds me of World at War.

Watched this last night. Didn't even know it was out. It is 100% RPG, damned near a movie. There is no "game play" only decisions to make.

I couldn't stop watching it. Very well done. I was really impressed with the product (although the ape/human mouth movement animation was a bit novice), but I'd stop short of calling it an actual game. Definitely worth watching.

imo video games has gotten much worse. I play ps3 b/c it has college football, college basketball 2k8 and BOXING. How in the hell can there be no boxing game for an effing PS4?!?!?!?! My theory is that UFC has been compromised as far as being infiltrated by libs. Long ago that happened. It sucks now but I'll bet you they made a deal where the consoles cannot offer up any competition to their **** UFC product. Just a theory

Bump. What is everyone playing right now? Mostly Fortnite BO4 and RDR2 for me.
