I don't know that I've seen this commented on already, but on the Early Birds radio show (I think yesterday, but it might have been Tuesday), Garrick McGee was interviewed. He said that the number of scholarship QBs he wants on his roster is seven.

So with Ferguson, Gardner, Bolin, Bonnafon, Pat Thomas, and Lamar Jackson, we are at six - one fewer than what he's shooting for.

Guessing here...

Need 4 ready to go in (if possible) for every game. Need at least 3-4 to run an effective practice.

If you lost 2-3 QBs in a game, which we have, you could quickly get down to only 3-4 to practice with. Some join the team w nagging injuries before getting here too.

Don't forget 1 or 2 may switch positions, some may transfer out, some may quit, grades, kicked off team...injuries of course.

Go Cards!

That would be a reasonable distribution. You might also see 1,1,2,3 or even 1,1,1,4, since you actually have two classes in the freshmen class (true freshmen and redshirt freshmen).
