I fill my gas tank 100%, not 80%, in under 10 minutes, not "about" 20 minutes which in most cases means 30 minutes. If you're going to use the 80% standard, then take 20% off the supposed range of the cars.

The EV's touted big advantages of charging at home are the low cost and lack of any time input. So people who can't afford garages to begin with are condemned by you to spend more time & more money - higher cost/KW - than someone who can charge at home? Let me know when the battery swap happens widely, but meanwhile stick to the reality of today's EV's.

Agreed. But understand that it’s going to take 10-20 yrs to turnover vehicles. GM, for example, has vowed to produce 100% EVs by 2035.

Massive changes to technology, infrastructure, production, etc are and can be made during this time.

But does GM have that much time? The little imp from Europe and the bartender in Congress said the world is going to end in about 10 years.

You can think of excuses or you can think about how you would adapt.
Nobody is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to EVs today or next year. It will be several decades at a minimum.
As EVs come more prevalent charging options will grow. Solar technology could advance to the point that it becomes moot as a solar panel in the roof of the vehicle could recharge it producing virtual unlimited range.
The first production EVs had a range of 70-80 miles, they now top 300 mile in range. Who knows where we will be down the road.
It’s important to remember that EVs aren’t the end goal...the goal is to reduce our carbon footprint. EVs are just a step along that path.

Can you please explain what Joe Biden has done to influence the short term price of gasoline? Thank you.

Please also consider the total change in the price and how much of that change is due to ice storms and the global increase in demand for oil as we come out of the pandemic. You can do a pie chart to show out of the entire change how much Joe Biden is responsible for.
Not exactly the pie chart you asked for, but a very good article explaining why gas prices are going up. Yes, the recent storms played a factor but so does Biden and a bit more than you seem to believe.....

It should be a requirement that all charging stations are powered by solar or wind. Also, all batteries must be environmentally friendly. If not, everyone’s time and money is being wasted. Not that that has ever happened before...
Wind and solar is absolutely not environmentally friendly either. Disposing of them is hazardous too. Maybe even more damaging than spent nuclear fuel rods.

I agree, but I don’t want the people that think they are saving the earth with electric cars using fossil fuels to charge their EVs.

That's just it. They all want ev cars, but it's just going to require more juice on an inefficient grid anyway. We need to pursue using natural gas more. Less carbon emissions.

Get An EV. They drive great, fast as **** and you never have to go to the gas station. I have 400 range and was thinking about getting the rapid charger for the carport, but I get 60 miles over night off the 110 plug. Everyday driving is between 20-80 miles for me. The rapid at home charger is $500 plus install, and they deliver about 45-50 miles an hour of charge. Nice option, but not needed for me.

Oh the horror! We should sweep our morals under the rug and look the other way when someone is brutally murdered because the murderer has the ability to increase gas prices.

2035? Who gives a shite about EV’s in 2035? You’ll either be driving an LRV on Mars or you’ll be dead.

Thanks Ho Biden. His ridiculous weather patterns are due to the ice in his veins or whatever they are shooting him up with to help him blow smoke up our asses.
I’ll blame 10 cents on higher demand, 10 cents on weather and 50 cents on the senile guy and the lady that slept her way to the top.
