Yes….go look and see when a s p fullback didn’t avg between 6.1-6.7 yds per carry no matter the year, how tough the competition was from one year to another, etc. some guys play the position longer than others and may accumulate stats. You will get yards at that position in that offense no matter what.
I am not talking bad about any of them….but there is Tyler bray at the top and then a second level of 2-3 guys if you’re talking sp fullbacks in this offense and then another level down and so forth.
Go check and see how many teams stopped 42. They ALL tried to stop him first and foremost when he was at fullback…
Oh I know. Tyler Bray was a nightmare. Teams had a difficult time containing his rushing ability, especially in the playoffs. The 381 yard playoff performance should tell the whole story. This is even when defenses knew South Point wanted the run game. Heck he had 24 rushing touchdowns just in 2013 averaging almost 8 yards per carry.

Tyler Bray was a monster. The best I ever saw at that position at SP. Unstoppable..
Yes Bray was a stud...and a Crest killa for sure...another one I enjoyed was Troy Leeper... hate his Sr year the QB broke his leg in the Weddington game.that was a great SP team...
I also hate Rockycord for what they did to Bray that year... dirty team... but hey that whole program sucks... I only think of Concord now for the Bass Pro Shop... oh and that memory..Rulz jumping into the fish tank at Bass Pro Shops trying to recruit a 40-pound catfish to play middle linebacker for Crest. 😂 Somebody yelled, ‘Rulz, who the hell you recruiting now?!’ He said, ‘Keep your voice down! Shelby and Burns don't know about this one yet!

Bray was a Crest killer. I can't lie... Good grief he ran through us like a sword through cheese.

Old school guys will remember this name... I would have loved to see Willie Strain run in the Red Bone. That would have been scary.
He would’ve been a near perfect back for it. They had a guy similar to him recently- 33. Maybe a step slower than strain (which is not to say he was slow), but similar frame, skill, power, explosion attributes). Like strain early in his sp time 33 played a lot of defense.

LOL- he was a LB (In the old sense) his soph. year. A car crash LB. SP ran power I and the old SWC was similar style offenses.
ND gave him serious interest early on I recall. Not the best athlete on that team, but a dude for sure.

Where did he end up going?
