Who genuinely returns to this program next year if Pope is HC? I don’t see Chandler staying, he goes to BYU if I had a guess. JJ and BG are (hopefully) gone. Moreno maybe? But he’s doing pretty decent draft stock wise. Jelly probably goes pro elsewhere. Mo definitely doesn’t stay unless we overpay.
BG won’t go anywhere. No one will pay him what UK will. I’m sure he will test it. But that’s what he will find. We are the only ones dumb enough to pay him millions.

I'm not even that upset we are losing badly. It's Pope's calling card. Our team will be a quick out in both tourneys. No bench, little talent and little coaching being done.

Barnhart lowered the standard on purpose, in my opinion. He needs to seriously be investigated for crimes against humanity.

If Golden were coaching this UK team and Pope was coaching this UF team, UK would have swept. That’s how bad of a coach Pope is. He can lose with his players and he can lose with your players

Always irritating to have to turn off the chat on the YouTube stream because what the opposing fans are saying about UK is true. 😡

Losing is one thing, getting embarrassed at home on senior night is another. Pope is a good guy but I don’t see how he can continue as coach.
Exactly keep saying this. It’s not just about the losing he gets absolutely EMBARRASED and he’s embarrassing this brand in ways that’s never been done. He’s got to go; now.

I am someone who hasn't gave up on Pope entirely, but I'm inching closer to it. I would've said he should've stuck to his old job but I don't think I want him doing surgeries on people either.

Yep. Been saying it. Covid was a throw away, but they rival that team to me. Other than that, since 1993, my least favorite Kentucky team of all time. And no I’m not joking and no it’s no hyperbole. They’re awful. And the coach is awful. Worst coach I’ve ever seen at Kentucky.
It's funny because it's not like we've never had seasons like this I think for me it's just knowing that once the season ends we're actually only at best halfway through this nightmare until Pope is gone. Next year will probably be as bad if not worse. At least Billy G has Joe Crawford, Ramel Bradley, Jodie Meeks, Patrick Patterson guys who actually gave a ****. It looks like our guys just don't care a bit about getting ran out of their own gym on SENIOR DAY.

All you people asking for Pope to be fired are wasting your time. He’s going to be here for at least one more season, IMHO. I agree that next year will be his last unless things turn around.

Florida will likely win the NCAA Tournament again. That's four for them compared to one for us since 2006.

And it keeps happening. I don’t care of he made it to the Sweet 16, I don’t even think BCG got blown out as much in his 2 years here.

Gag fest. I've never seen a UK team this pathetic. If Pope does get another year it may be worse than this one if you can imagine.

Fans don’t have to take the abuse. Many will leave and might not even come back if we’re mediocre again next year.

Oweh showed early on he doesn’t give a **** about the team or anyone on it. When you roll your eyes at your head coach after a blowout, he should have been dismissed right there. Or sat out a handful of games to make a point. I realize without oweh it’s slim; as a coach that’s not the point. Players don’t run the program, the coach does. But that hasn’t been happening here. The precedent was set early.

People will say it’s the NIL, but Florida’s players look like they care. Even freaking Cal’s players at Arkansas seem to care despite dreams of going to the NBA. Our guys? They mimic our coach, they give zero f-cks.

I think that most folks who were supporting Pope were doing so because with MB here, a third year was inevitable, so why not be positive? But I think MB retiring broke Pope, he likely has an idea he will be gone. He had a real opportunity at a third year if he had the double bye, got to the SEC semis and won a couple of NCAA games, but he has picked a bad time to coach his two worst games of the year

Kentucky basketball used to be fun to watch. This year has been frustrating and painful to watch. I’ll be glad when this is over. Pope will resign if he really cares.
Unfortunately, If you except they are a middle of the pack SEC team it's not frustrating. They generally beat teams below them and lose to teams above them. Average team this year.
