My family has had season tickets for 20+ years. I went to three games this year and sold the rest. I couldn’t even get rid of these Florida tickets. No one even wanted them unless they were free. I gave them to two college kids. We have fell off so bad. I’m not gonna give them up but I’ll sell them all if Pope is back next year.

Pumpers: We only lost by 7 to a number 1 seed!

Golden - works the refs - in his pocket
He is good with the refs, but this is just the SEC protecting their money. Florida was in line for 1 seed. They will probably get it if they do well in the tourney, which the SEC will make sure of. They might even help us out if it means we get a better matchup in the big dance and win a couple. More wins = more money.

I get tired of reading about refs against Kentucky.... Gets old for every lose.
Refs are absolutely not the reason we lost but Florida received every call the last 2 minutes, no traveling on Lee after falling, no shot clock violation, foot on the line (no call) with no review. Officials love going to the monitor to review everything down the stretch but not today apparently.

Popes gonna be here next year. But if we don’t see major changes within this program starting with himself, to the staff and to the quality of players he brings in. I’m all for asking him to step down this summer. The recruiting this summer is that important. We have 2 maybe 3 UK quality players on this returning roster. If he doesn’t crush the portal, tell him to step down. I’d rather watch walk ons than this crap again.

We will have a new AD and maybe a new GM by then (pray that the GM is above Pope).. i wouldnt rule out Pope steping down this year. Its a new regime. The AD and the GM will already be tee'ing up his replacement. And remember, we have no recruits now. Pope is gonna have an ever worse team next year.

I could see an agreement on a reduced buyout being done as we make a full transition from Mitch to whoever is next. The future AD is not gonna want to start his tenure going backwards. This will (or should) play out the same way when a new NFL GM is annointed: the writing is on the wall and they want their guys in place.

Yeah. Problem is Mitch is gonna handpick his replacement unless people with real clout don’t step up and demand different.

Because lots of experts and even fans were saying that Golden had a ton of potential. If our AD had a freaking imagination we wouldn’t be in this situation right now.
Everyone and their mother was throwing out suggestions, but the bottom line is, Mitch deserves plenty of blame for so many things, you would be really piling on by faulting him for not offering Golden, who had little experience and no accomplishments at that time.

Mitch ain't pickin shite

I have to believe the Kentucky big time brokers are not gonna let that happen unless its a guy thats a good hire. It could really be the nail in the coffin for UK basketball and it could affect the Capitulo, other high ranking staff, etc. Heck even people associated with Rupp arena.

The program is on a cliff.. I think this will be more than Mitch just hiring his buddy.

Beat ranked UK at Rupp, upset ranked Auburn, beat #3 Alabama…..there were signs there that he was a straight dog.
Sh*t, Pope did more than that last year with a roster he threw together at the last minute. Getting mad that Mitch didn’t offer Golden 2 years ago, is some serious Monday morning QB stuff.
Like I said in another post, Mitch sucks, but I ain't gonna fault him for not offering the job to Golden at that time.
Heck, wasn't Golden going through that stalking coeds issue?

Golden is far better than Pope that should be unquestioned. But I’m not sold on his greatness.

It wouldn’t shock me at all for them to not make it to the second weekend this year.
