Also considering 10 conference games and scrapping divisions. This would put the screws to ND, they wouldn't be able to schedule a lot of their traditional rivals. If there are no divisions and too many teams for round robin play this puts a lot of importance on getting the scheduling right, otherwise there's a lot of risk of a team that benefits from a weak schedule finishing in a position to compete for the conference title. Scheduling only one year at a time helps to mitigate this so it's not too surprising. I'm curious to see the impact on OOC schedules since any team with a pulse would require a home and home and there'd be very limited slots with this change. Also the big program desire to have 7 home games every year could be a problem.
