Thread just for quick general observations from the game:

So far, my only contribution is that Knevel looked good. I realize it's against 2nd (or 3rd string) d-line playing a vanilla defense, but there are still some things you can take away from it. I though Knevel looked slimmed down and much more mobile than he did even at the beginning of last year. He was frequently the first move off the snap; I actually rewound a couple of plays because it looked like he might be moving early. The kid has had his struggles and resulting criticism, but it looks like he is moving in the right direction. He has the frame of an NFL tackle, but hasn't really put it all together yet. Hopefully this is the year he does.

Sorry if I missed a summary in another thread, but I was wondering what the general takeaway is/was on the performance of the OL? Anyone else standout good or bad?

Thanks in advance

Ozigbo needs to carry the ball at least 20 times a game this fall. Lang's love affair with any back not named Devine needs to come to an end. He is exactly the kind of back we need to win B1G games and he'll take the pressure off Lee.

No more excuses!
Get it done!

Is Langs the one that chooses the RB or is that Davis?

Or even Riley for that matter???Good question though. I remember there was a time when Riley wanted to use Ozigbo more and Langs seemed not to be fully onboard with that concept.

So you have a source in that? Or a is it an assumption? I was under the impression that it is Davis' call.

I don't know. I like Oz, but I think Tre could be special. Tre is versitle, can run physical and is much more of a big play threat.

Agreed, he has moves and when it was close early, he hammered some nice gains and the Red took control.
