It’s a different league that 95% of college football will never be able to contend with.
There are maybe 10-15 programs in the country who even have the ability to reach this plane of existence for a 5-10 year stretch. USC has done it before and can again. Texas has the ability, OSU, OU… Florida and Miami have obviously done it for stretches and could again too, LSU and Auburn just into the convo sometimes…

The amount of talent on the field tonight is out of this world.There are 7 or 8 guys on both teams who if they were on the Bears next year would either start or be on the 2 deep.As AdamOnFirst said there are just a few teams in the nation who can come close to matching these 2 teams tonight.
I loved the graphic that showed that Alabama’s RB has sat between four different NFL’ers (Scarbrough was a short-timer) in his career. Otherworldly.
Just incredible football teams to watch. I would say we’ll never be there but that’s not a function of anything going on with NIL or the transfer portal. It seems it’s always been this way, at least since like the 1940s or so. The current issues are just seemingly undoing some of the parity that the 85 scholarship limit and conference TV money brought.
