Saw a vid of him recently. He is so optimistic. I love his attitude and he seems to be the kind of fella that shares that vibe with his teammates , gets them pumped as well. He's going to be a serious impact on that court. He talks like the knee is coming along great, even a bit ahead of schedule. If that thing gets back to 100%, there's gonna be trouble for opponents in ACC land. Get well Harry, i can't WAIT to see you throwin' it down in Duke Blue.

He has a winner's mindset and attitude. It's that simple. I love that he mentioned being willing to sacrifice for the team's success in that video. I also loved that he is already reaching out to his future teammates because he recognizes how important it is for them bond on and off the court before the season begins. We're really blessed to have him in our program!

I just saw a recent interview he did. He's DYING to get on that court. That kid has fire. He's got what I like in a player. He and Tatum are going to be absolutely ridiculous. This will be the longest off season in history for me.

Though I imagine Giles could use the time to recover!

As excited as I am for next year I can wait. The weather is finally turning here in Minny, golf courses have opened and I've decided to try and play at least one more year of baseball at age 39. While I love Duke basketball I also know when the season starts it means winter weather is around the corner.

Pretty much. I quick playing baseball when I was 33 and it lasted a month into the season. Now here I am six years later. And being this close to 40 I might as well play next season too. I haven't told my wife that though....she's thought I was done a dozen different times. She just rolls her eyes now.

Other that that, we get about six to seven months to really enjoy nice weather here....I don't wish that time away.

When you get older the time seems to go by faster and faster. I start keeping rec softball next week and youth baseball next month. I love keeping the youth baseball. The kids play for the fun of it. That pretty much gets me through the summer then fall softball starts and so does high school football. he wife and I are planning on a trip to Utah to see our son DukeSky85 and his wife and two little boys. By that time it will be close to three years since we've seen them in person. By then it's basketball season again. Let's not forget our football team and how far it's came since Coach Cut. came on board. But until then I will keep posting and threading and every chance I get taking a poke at hof coach roy williams. OFC

I hate summer, but then again, I live in Miami. Summer in Minnesota must be awesome. We spent some time in Maine last summer, that is a great place to be in August.

39 is about the age I started to get injured, still having an 18 yr old's inclinations in that older body, so I decided to hang up the spikes. Be careful out there, buddy,

I hear ya. I was stupid and played about 2 years longer than I should have. Now my back and knees are killing me. I am coaching my sons baseball team and tried to throw batting practice last night and realized that my shoulder is screwed to. Oh well im still breathing

I don't play as much as I used to. The best part is still being around the guys....specifically my family. My brother is 33, I have two cousins who are 37 and 36, then two younger cousins at 19 and 17. I kind of wanted to say I had a chance to play with them. My dad played until 41 and my uncle until close to 45. Amateur baseball in Minnesota is a way of life for us.

Yeah, I don't wish my time away either. This is prime time for me to work on the house I am renovating in the mountains of North Carolina. My goal is to get in it this summer.
