Girls Softball just lost

I watched it all. I didn't have anything else to do. Decided to not post about it cuz some idiot would call me a tater. Didn't we used to be really good at softball? They just started their team a few years back. I'm still glad we won in the sport that I really care about but I get dang tired of hearing about/seeing losses to those taterheads.

We split the series with Clemson this year. And yes they are really good for a young program, and that is due to the connections their coach had already established with strong youth programs when hired.

BTW...softball has made an amazing turn around this year. Top 10-15 in the Nation.

To be fair, I never claimed to know anything about softball. I don't follow it. I do appreciate Batgirl for enlightening me of things that I know little of. I'm a football guy but I'm a Gamecock first. I'm open to learning from others though.

The softball team is projected as the #3 National seed only behind Texas A&M and Texas.

I just started watching softball this year with the new coach. SC has more quad one wins than any team in the country and projected to be the #3 National seed. If they don't implode, SC could be hosting a super regional.

Our team is 33-11 so far. Last year they were 36-24. We are much improved. Right now CU is 37-12…so we are pretty close to Clemson.

Women's golf has really changed over the past 20 or so years. 40 years ago, when I was in college, women golfers were not exactly feminine beauties for the most part. Today, there are a lot of really pretty girls playing golf.

I think Title IX has a lot to do with this. Schools had to come up with so much scholarship money for women's sports that girls who were only "good" golfers in HS suddenly had scholarship opportunities.
