Marcus Lee. This was his best game since the Michigan game last year. he's becoming my favorite player this year because of his totally team-first attitude. I've never once heard him complain once about his limited playing time. yes, he still has those defensive lapses every once in a while, but then who doesn't.

He played great. This game shows sometimes you need the unexpected hero to lift your team at times.

And I do not think any of our guys have complained about not getting as many minutes. If they did, they'd probably see less time so best to be team players and play unselfish. Lee is probably getting about what minutes he deserves IMO. He is so limited on offense, but I think he plays pretty solid D most of the time. I think he has great potential for next season (and of course in some games this season).

I actually thought he deserved more minutes than he got tonight, but it seemed like for a decent portion of the second half Cal was pretty dead set on going with a smaller lineup (he played a fair amount of 3 guards - something we haven't seen much of this year)

Lee needs to try to become a poor man's Rodman - minus the psychotic flamboyance obviously. Muck it up whenever and wherever possible; go after every loose ball like a man playing for his life; lock down by moving his feet and getting under the approaching offensive player to negate their attack.

He has the athleticism to give so much more. It's just a mentality. Last night he played precisely the way Calipari wants him to play.

I enjoyed the success of Marcus Lee against Vandy. Good to see someone who hustles get rewarded with some production.
