I thought his defense, especially around the rim, was terrific. He blocked, and affected many shots.

Kid can rebound with anybody! Appears to be the voice in the huddle. Really coming on strong. Love it
Jav has played great. Tough rebounding in traffic. Good D overall, great blocks, and some key buckets on O. Yeah, he has his limitations and has a few head scratchers every game, but he hustles his butt off, is s good communicator, and is a great teammate.
He will never be a huge scorer but what he gives you is everything he has and can give you. He does some boneheaded things sometimes but he loves Duke and his teammates and will go to war at the drop of a hat.
He struggled against UNC but brought his game in 2H against FSU. Hope he keeps it up.
We out rebounded FSU 39-33....without Bolden against their frontline.

He had 6 rebounds and only played 15 minutes. For him, that was a good night!
Q great post! No way we cut the nets down last nite w/o his play. I mean 2nd half vs 'Noles it seemed like JAVIN was the chairman of the defensive boards!!
Also a nifty catch and reverse lay in on pass from near top of key, and nailed two fts 2nd half as well. Tournament winners ALWAYS have unsung heroes it seems. Javin was to Duke Saturday nite what J-Gold was to us Friday nite! Keep getting these less publicized guys to step up and we'll clip some more nets 1st Monday nite in April!

I was so proud of this dude, especially after the first half. He was a man among boys on the board in the second half. I was a little let down in the first half a little, but after having a long talk with him from my projector screen, he played his tail off. A huge reason why they never got closer than 5 point. Dude was cleaning up the boards and contesting shots like he saw Bolden at the scorers table ready to check in for him lol. Freaking awesome TEAM win!

Jav cracks me up when he fouls and looks at his hands like" Guys stop, you're getting me in trouble." He is too funny at times with his reactions. Love these guys personalities and court demeanor lol. I guess I be watching everything they are doing to close.
Javin stepped his game up on offense and defense. The last ten minutes this is the best Duke has ran the half court offense all year. Javin was a big part of this.
Javin has bad hands and doesn't use his feet well at times but every now and then he does something that makes me happy he came to Duke. OFC
Javin is a great role player. That said it would be nice to have Bolden back when the big dogs come around.
Well Javin looked great but there is a slight history of foul trouble...
Javin is the voice on defense when in the game. He does some things that make you wonder about life, but where he is most important is in the huddle. He had a great tournament. Would love to see him have two great tournaments!
Some of his catches and finishes are amazing, almost elite. Other times, he misses gimmees, travels when all he had to do was catch and dunk, or fails to even catch the pass. Reminds me of young MP3 when the game was too fast for him and he was trying too hard. A little more experience and polish and his game could really take off. Shame we had so many injuries his Freshman year and he couldn't redshirt.
