Not a war movie but a military movie. TAPS is really good. Tom Cruise dies in it so that makes it better.
Watch Downfall about Hitler's last days alive. The dude who plays him is perfect. Its not in English but it's v freaking awesome.
I enjoy a good WW2 flick. Always fascinated by that era of warfare. Here's some from off the top of my head. Plenty more I could add with some research.

1983's The Day After and 1984's Threads aren't war movies, but they deal with the aftermath of war, specifically the consequences of global nuclear war, with relatively gut-wrenching realism. They're both a bit sensational, but overall they both hold up really well IMHO.
If you want some laughs, try Blackadder Goes Forth. It's pretty safe to say that there's never been a greater sitcom about a British captain who's trying to con his way out of a trench in Flanders during WWI.

Yup, agree. Hate Tom Cruise. I thought it was funny he didn’t even “try” an accent. HahaValkyrie is a good one except for the casting of Tom Cruise. But, like Glen
Underrated. Might watch that tonight. Wasn’t a big fan of Jarhead but I think I’ve only seen it once, might need to try it again.
