Sell electric cars

Do you have any idea how toxic lead or lithium ion batteries are? Not only would disposal of them be an environmental holocaust, but just how do you think the power to charge the batteries is currently generated?

That's right my well educated non judgemental friend...fossil fuels! Oil, natural gas, coal (and in some cases Nuclear)

So you wouldn't actually be reducing your "carbon footprint" by switching the primary energy source powering our automobiles from gasoline to electricty.

I could pretend I'm you and call you names and accuse you of being mind numbingly stupid with your answers, but I'm better than you. [winking]

Boomer...boomer....BOOMER!!!!!

You're grasping at straws my Man! Your answer to my example doesn't explain
  • why we didn't predict the record heat?
  • why we were incapable of stopping it?
  • why we CANNOT adjust it?
  • why we can't predict it or prevent it from happening again?
If you think eating more Burger King "impossible burgers" (less red meat) is the solution to reducing these 95 plus degree temps we have down here it's YOU Sir who is "crossing into the realm of the insane". [eyeroll]
Says the ignorant blabber mouth fool that knows nothing about the subject, even basic facts a 6th grader knows like that trees produce oxygen and consume CO2

Doesn’t it take fossil fuels to extract, refine, and transport gasoline?

That right my somewhat educated, money grubbing, chubby brained d-bag....STFU.

I could pretend I’m you and post a long, pretentious worded, passive- aggressive, insulting post, pretending to be honest and respectful, asking you questions like a professor that really have no relevance to the discussion at hand — but I won’t, because it’s foolish.

You pompous ***...while you pretend to be so smart you're nothing but a walking taking sandwich board advertising human arrogance and imbedded mental vapidity.

Call a climatologist or a climate scientist and ask one of them how we turn off this damn heat down here?

Your suggestion of eating less fast food not only won't work, but it's about the most idiotic thing a man educating skulls full of mush can offer as a substitute for informed commentary.

Glad my kids aren't sitting in your classroom. The parents who's kids are should prosecute your administrators for child abuse.

Reducing red meat
If people change their diets, reducing red meat and increasing plant-based foods, such as fruits, vegetables and seeds, the world can save as much as another 15% of current emissions by mid-century. It would also make people more healthy, Rosenzweig said.

The science panel said they aren't telling people what to eat because that's a personal choice.

Still, Hans-Otto Portner, a panel leader from Germany who said he lost weight and felt better after reducing his meat consumption, told a reporter that if she ate less ribs and more vegetables "that's a good decision and you will help the planet reduce greenhouse gas emissions."

Reducing food waste can fight climate change even more. The report said that between 2010 and 2016 global food waste accounted for 8 to 10% of heat-trapping emissions.

"Currently 25-30% of total food produced is lost or wasted," the report said. Fixing that would free up millions of square miles of land.

It’s not intelligence I claim, it’s being informed and not ignorant of the issue.

Talk about pompous ***, you haven’t read even a basic article on climate change, yet you think you are informed. Pffft...

Editor's note

Read the following linked article only if you remain unconvinced of "man made climate change". I remain unconvinced and here's why.

What you know about climate change is probably wrong

except
When it comes to climate, we are told the science is settled. And God help you if you disagree. You’ll likely be branded as a climate-change denier and metaphorically burned at the stake of social media.

Think about that for a minute: A denier. As if you are denying a belief in a religion. Nowhere else in science is that term applied.

You might say I’m skeptical.

Why? Partly because I paid attention during sixth-grade science and because there is sufficient evidence to suggest that many of the so-called “consensus” scientists have strong biases at best, and a hidden agenda at worse.

...more

The idea that rising levels of Co2 are heating the Earth is the bedrock of climate change theology. And yet, it falls apart under the slightest scrutiny.

In fact, the rise in Co2 levels are having a positive effect on our climate.

...more
There are hundreds of factors that govern the Earth’s climate and temperature. Even today, new technologies are revealing previously unknown information that challenge long-held theories. To dismiss the dynamic nature of scientific research is to invite error.

And it’s here where we find the next error in the “science” of climate change; observations do not match models.

two major volcano eruptions; Mt. St. Helens in 1980, and Mt. Pinatubo in 1991. The latter of these spewed so much ash and soot into the atmosphere that in 1992 and 1993, the average temperature in the Northern Hemisphere was reduced 0.5 to 0.6°C and the entire planet was cooled 0.4 to 0.5°C.

Think about that: Global temperatures were cooler for two years because of one volcano eruption. And yet, the Earth was able to accommodate the pollutants, and life continued.

Nevertheless, climate-change scientists seemed to be seriously committed to their cause, observational evidence be damned.

Manipulation of historical temperature data continues. NASA and other government agencies regularly fiddle with temperature records, adjusting pre-Industrial Revolution Era records down, and post records up.

...finally

Dr. Judith Curry’s ") written testimony before the same House committee in 2017 is enlightening. In it, she lays bare how progress in understanding the climate system is being hampered by an institutionalized effort to stifle debate, in the name of a “consensus” that humans have caused recent climate change. Dr. Curry is Professor Emeritus of the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Read it here.

I’ll let the first comment to that article address this Bullsh1t from a guy that has no background in a field related to understanding ANY of what he is asserting in his article.

First, you’re wrong that the term “denier” is only used on climate change in science. It is also used on evolution and tobacco-cancer, just off the top of my head.

Second, your post suggests conspiracy theory. Climategate has been completely debunked. The term “hide the decline” was meant to correct the divergence between tree rings and temperature records over the last 60 years.

You are wrong about CO2. You present it as “global temperatures are driven either entirely by CO2 or not at all”, which is a false dichotomy. CO2 levels have amplified warmings from ice ages before. And it is not a benefit to the planet. The very NASA article you linked says:

“While rising carbon dioxide concentrations in the air can be beneficial for plants, it is also the chief culprit of climate change. … The impacts of climate change include global warming, rising sea levels, melting glaciers and sea ice as well as more severe weather events. The beneficial impacts of carbon dioxide on plants may also be limited, said co-author Dr Philippe Clais, associate director of the Laboratory of Climate and Environmental Sciences, Gif-suv-Yvette, France. Studies have shown that plants accimatize, or adjust, to rising carbon dioxide concentration and the fertilization effect diminishes over time”

You are also wrong about models always over-estimate global temperatures. This is not true at all. I looked at the link you posted, and the graphs shown all calibrate prediction with temperature around the 1980 mark, which is completely arbitrary and almost certainly picked to make them diverge as much as possible. They also showed no uncertainty ranges, and the first graph shows atmospheric temperature for observation but land temperature for predictions.

You can stomp, and protest, and pontificate, and disparage, and dismiss, and mock, and ridicule from now until man turns the planet into a giant bubbling blue ball of soup!

However what you will not and in fact cannot change is Earth's climate. The climate along with the science of "changing" it is both impossible for humans to alter or control and in fact is NOT "settled" as science we are even capable of achieving.

I remain a skeptic until we produce the technology or solutions which primarily or drastically alter existing or predicted weather patterns which is all "climate change" always has been. It's been changing quite reliably on its own without our permission or assitance and nothing you can say or present proves otherwise.

In the ongoing (and endless) debate over "man made" climate change immutable, unchangeable, Scientifically provable, and undeniably truthful constants remain:

  • Human beings DO NOT control Earth's atmosphere, axis around the Sun, weather systems or any other element of climatological activity.
  • None of the models suggesting human influence or alterations of normal climatological patterns have ever been factually proven or correctly predicted. None of them.
  • Human are powerless to change any existing, or approaching climatological system or anomaly.
  • Humans cannot prevent or alter normal seasonal changes in climatological patterns.
  • Humans have not developed the technological capability to adjust climatological occurrences nor can they change patterns already in operation
  • Humans remain impotent and inferior against the powerful natural forces regulating all of the elements producing climate. Sun, wind, water, gravity, earth's planetary rotation and bio systems along with limited human technological understanding of all the factors contributing to normal changes in climatological compositions or fluctuations.
These FACTS are not in dispute, are not arguable, are scientifically provable, cannot be Scientifically refuted, and punch a giant hole right into the middle of all the "man made" global warming or climate change hysteria. Without factual, documented, Scientifically provable, demonstrated evidence refuting any or all of these FACTS, the hysteria over climate change caused by or controlled by human beings should be easily dismissed as nothing but humanistic hype.

You show me a Christian who has been more restrained than me listening to all of the daily self righteous human ingested bilge that you regurgitate on a daily basis on this forum and I'll show you Christ himself!

You have some nerve to use our Lord's name in vain without one concern over how insulting that is to those of us who honor and Love him and no one threatens to "wipe the floor" with your cotton candy cone shaped albino ***.

You have some nerve. I dish out .02% of the climate change measured vomit you spew onto this board every day cursing, mocking, or otherwise ridiculing anyone who dares challenge your intellectual omnipotence and YOU get your metro sexual panties all stained.

Amazing how low your level of "tolerance" is when you get a mild taste of your own vile filled medicine.

But wouldn't I be removing a methane source, and an animal that eats a large amount of plant material if I eat beef? I'm joking around, because I've gone down the seriousness rabbit hole before on this topic before. I just wanted to do a drive-by on this.
