What's the boards pleasure G22 in .40, G21 in .45, or G20 in 10mm.
I have several glocks. I switched from the 26 to a Sig 365xl as the conceal carry. But, when I am in grizzly bear country I carry a 10mm 29. I can't tell you how comfortable I am in the back country having many rounds of a 10mm vs a 9mm to address a grizzly. Everyone probably has a 19, and I do, and the kids, but the wife has a 43 with a crimson trace and I dislike it a lot. for me the 20 is huge whereas the 29 seems to be as big as a 19.

the power of the 10mm is impressive and after about 20 rounds at the range the hands starts to hurt, as it should.

I like Springfield XDs. I’m a religious .45 guy. My favorite pistol is the 1911.

I like the Springfield's as well. Much better grip for me, plus the ambidextrous nature of the mag release makes reloads much easier for me being a lefty.

Exact reason why I like them. I always pull my Glocks a little to the point where I actually have to Kentucky windage them, doesn’t matter if it’s the .40 or .45, I pull them to the side a little. My XDs? I’m money. A 1911, I’m a fvcking neurosurgeon.

Been keeping my eye on a Rock Island Armory 1911 in 10mm. Gets descent reviews.

Funny thing about data and sources is you could be mislead on purpose. However if you want a 1911 it comes in 16rd version. It's probably not bad for the price point though. If round capacity is most important go with it or the Glock or Springfield Armory. Smith and Wesson is now making one if buying American made is important. Kimber also makes one also.
Les Bauer is awesome but you might need to sell a kidney to buy it.

Glock 22 and 27 guy for twenty years. Bought a 21 last year and would never shoot anything else. Way less snappy in 45 acp then 40 cal and I don’t understand why. It was actually developed to cater to females in the FBI who had trouble with the 45 acp guns. Sold everything i owners in 40 and don’t miss it.

Look at Trijicon night sights or similar for your Glock.

Invest in extra magazines and ammo while available.

At the rate this Administration is going you might want to take a look at CBRN equipment? Half joking.

There's also a Berretta 92 clone by Girsan locally at a great price. It gets rave reviews so might have to drop a dime for it.

Girsan makes an almost part for part Beretta 92 clone that is held in high regard. You military folks, tell me why I should/should not get it?

You can get a used Beretta for about the same price maybe? You can get a new one for between 600 to 700. If you want a Beretta I would just save and get one.

I can't find any used ones for sale in my area. This Girsan is new, and it's the official sidearm of at least some of the Turkish military. Girsan is also thought of highly by NATO as making quality firearms.

You can buy one on line and have it shipped. Or wait and visit a gun show. I would rather spend a little extra and own a Beretta than a Turkey made gun. Just my opinion on it vise saving some money on a 92 clone. Especially if you own other 9mm.

Did some research on Girsan. Out of the budget guns they seem to get better reviews than Taurus and other Budget brands.

Fixing to go all in on Glock. Trading my 365xl for a Gen 5 G19 MOS.

The Sig 320 comes with night sights and a better trigger. By the time you upgrade the Glock the Sig is probably a better deal and more accurate. However it comes down to which one you like better. Both will get the job done.

Give them an inch & they take a mile .

Correct That’s why Americans should draw a line in the sand and never give an inch. If you have to disarm the citizens to Govern then obviously you suck at leadership and should be doing something else.

Question:

Glock 20 - 15 rounds 10mm
Rock Island 1911 - 8 rounds 10mm

I already have a 20 and I don't need both. Thinking about picking up the RIA 1911 and selling/trading off my G20. Good idea/Bad idea

FWIW: I've never shot a 1911

I think I mentioned I have the 29, the compact version of this. I have thought about getting the 20 because the grip area is a little longer. If you holster the pistol, which I do in the back country of Montana/Wyoming, how comfortable does it carry and if you do holster it, what kind of holster do you have. I think I want this pistol.

I have this one with the red dot and I love it at the range. Not practical thought for most of my field uses. 10mm for grizzly country or 9m 365xl/glock 26 for most areas east of the MS.

I just have an IWB holster for some idiotic reason.

The Glock 19 is a good service pistol or self defense. So definitely not trashing it. I have one. Like you I carry a 10mm in the woods or when fly fishing with Hardcast bullets.

If someone is only has around 500 to 600 hundred dollars to spend then you can't go wrong with a Glock for reliability.

I have shot the sig 365x. Out of the micro 9mm I think it was the better one. But people should get what they like best.

For conceal carry I usually carry a Glock 19x or Sig Sauer M18. They are 4 inches and light enough but give you good capacity.
