In 2nd or 3rd and long , go 5 wide. Why? Make the defense have to cover more so Sellers can run more against slower defenders. Ok, what if an lb blitzes and gets a free shot? Watch last year’s games, he’ll shove them to the side and run for 10 yards. Especially in long down situations, spread the field. They will have to leave a guy open or account for Sellers. There are not many guys in the country who can bring Sellers down one on one. I’ll take our guy to win that situation anytime . Sure, we need to be able to run with a back in the backfield, but not on long yardage plays.

Sounds very reasonable but would require our OC to think outside the box to get out of the predictable rut we are in.
Unless Beamer grown a pair and laid down the law, it's not likely to happen

I would do it. Maybe not every play, but motioning the rb out of backfield, or 5 wr's certainly gives sellers room to work. On occasion.

So you are saying we should draw the fast guys off the ball so that when Sellers jukes the DL camped out in the backfield, it will be smooth sailing after that? Remember it only takes a 4 man rush to get pressure on Sellers with our OL.

I remember Rattler getting 1 second on average. At least that's how I remember it. 🙂
