really....because we didnt get a stop 2x at the end of the game, we didnt get a stop on Hofstra last possession and they were continuing to hit and were hot. So do you really think a 2nd ot would have worked..any evidence of that. were you at the game.
Law of averages was bound to catch up to Hofstra

Yeah, really. You’re a guy watching a basketball game, not a prophet. Shots go in, shots roll out. Yeah, I was at the game. ANYTHING could have happened in OT..

Defense was terrible…too many guys blowing by people and have them gteat looks at the basket.

Hyatt looked asleep out there YET again for the limited minutes he played on defense. PM was getting blown by. Simpson was getting screened and not fighting over them

Rutgers was never going to win in double overtime

Set up a 3..win or lose

Rutgers needs athletes thats for sure
The B1G overall doesnt have great athletes so we can get away with it in the regular season. The b1g is basically the last league on earth that relies on bigs and big bulky guards as opposed to speed, tempo and athleticism.

It should have never been this close. Where was the stifling D? 88 points from Hofstra, are you friggin kidding me!
Problem with NIT is players don't care and effort isn't same.
We are not good as the favorite and toss in playing mid major in NIT and you have a recipe for poor defense and lack of passion. That spells probable loss when its the super bowl for the opponent.

Our defense was horrendous i dont care how many great shots Hofstra made

Why can so few acknowledge this? We had a weak effort on defense and on the boards aside from Caleb ans Spencer. Which sadly has been the case for alot of the year. And people wonder why Mag was such a huge loss? Check out that young man's relentless hustle and it's pretty obvious what happened.

I dont know, people are so in awe of Hofstra making great shots, i get they did, but not all of them were, most in fact were wide open, they go into the seams or got right to the hoop in the first half. RU did nothing to make them uncomfortable..where was the rac home court advantage, the fans were frenzied standing and cheering on every play and every play the same defensive again and again and again, no surprise everything was going in. RU was literally doing nothing to disrupt their offense

Pikes strategy was the press and that worked at times, but it appears he had not one other counter

The put back to tie in regulation we had 4 guys around the basket. Cliff jumped and perfectly tipped it over Derek to the Hofstra guy. Derek was right there for the rebound if Cliff didn’t touch it. If Cliff grabs it or misses it entirely we get the rebound. The slight tip just over Derek was the only possible outcome where the Hofstra guy gets it.

We can never run plays to get Cam an open 3. Why do you think we would be able to there?

We got an amazing look that 100 out of 100 coaches would love to get 100% of the time

There were two opportunities for Cam to get game winning shots, in regulation & in overtime..
instead of a full court pass that went out of bounds, it should have been one or two quick passes, with screen for open Cam shot.
In OT, yes kick it out to Cam, the way Hofstra was shooting, odds were against winning in 2nd OT
