I'm so excited for this TEAM! They have worked their tails off, bought into a completely new defensive philosophy, kept their heads up through tough nights, and won the hearts of their fan base.

It has been an incredible season so far, and getting to lock status so early is massive. I can't wait to see what the remainder of the season (and post-season!!!) holds! Let's go Cats!

Is NU really a lock right now? They are looking great , I know, but seems to me they need one more win.

Bubble Watch on ESPN says, "The second NCAA bid in program history is prohibitively likely to follow." Moreover, Coach Collins stated emphatically that we're in the tournament. He's selling, I'm buying.

They needed 1 more win after beating Purdue. NU then went and not only won the next game but the highest ranked remaining team that was also tied for 2nd in the big ten. Now onto locking up 2nd place and if luck shall have it Purdue drop 2-3 games.

I want at least two more wins. This team can earn that spot in NU history, most conference wins in a season ever. I want them to feel that one, too.

Hell, we can win out. Not likely, but why settle for only one or two more wins? No more losing mentality.

It is "optimistic" to really believe that we will get into the NCAA tournament if we lose our next 5 games and then lose in the Big Ten tournament.

We'd be 19-13 with a 10-10 record in the league and a weak non-conference.

So we need to win one of the next 5. 10-10 is not going to cut it unless we win a couple in the Big Ten tournament.

Are we likely to do that? Of course. Have we done it already? No.

I think 3 more wins between the end of season and conference tournament.

Reason is that gives NU a better story for the big dance. Other conferences are going to experience upsets during g their tournaments and the NU story has to be better than the other teams.example Kentucky

Three more gives us a 5-6 seed likely. Possible 4 seed.

Look at the bubble teams right now and stack up our resume against theirs. We blow every single one out of the water. 7 Quad 1 wins, 6-2 record on the road. 10-5 record in the B1G, the second toughest conference according to Kenpom (conference record isn't an important factor but it feels good to write). One more win and we don't sweat at all regardless of any bid stealers in the conference tournaments.

That's true but, as of now, we are far from a bubble team. We just become one if we lose 4 or 5 games. And then our resume would get comparably not as impressive.

Haha, yes definitely. My brain is hardwired to go through the doomsday scenario. I don't think it will be a close call at all on selection day. Let's keep racking up Ws.
