23 point lead vs. 20 point lead is a BIG difference. I thought it was a bad coaching decision. Turns out it cost us the game.
Agree but Beamerball has a kicker that is shaky over 40 yards too so that weighed in the decision

I didn't think it was... At that point, what do we have to lose? The season is a waste... Just play to win... Hind site says it sucked, but at the time I had no problem with it.
The problem is the "win no matter what" mentality left in the second half and they kind of went into a shell trying to run time out over the second half, which was stupid.
Spurrier used to always play not to lose rather than playing to win after we got up on people.
Once sellers stopped running, the offense was done.

I didn't like the play call, but I agree with the decision to go for it there. A 45+ yard field goal in windy conditions is far from a sure thing and to that point in the game, our offense had looked almost competent.
