Looking at the extended forecast for Eastern NC I kinda figured there would be some moved up. Maybe even ours.
I would bet NE takes this one. Just from past history Goldsboro seems to fold in the big ones.
Just hope we can take care of business. Buses are on standby for another trip to ECity. I know goob and all the NE players/fans will be hyped up for this rematch. We gave ya'll a sorta good game last year. Year before NO contest for NE. 3rd time is a charm, as they say, well for one of us anyway. Best of luck to the Eagles Thursday night. Is its gonna be broadcast ?? If SWO aint rescheduled I FOR SURE want to tune in to the game.
@daagoob if you have never been to a Goldsboro game you are in for a treat. I guess they will still take the band with them. Their stadium entrance and dancing up into the stands is burlesque!!
Its definitely different going there! Metal detectors galore and hand wands too with sheriff deputies all over the place. It’s an interesting atmosphere to say the least. Lol

I'm really looking forward to it to be honest. I've never seen Goldsboro play. From my understanding we will be without Biggie (starting qb) and Freshwater. Freshwater is under concussion protocol. He got knocked unconscious from what I was told during Friday's game at Ptank. I wasn't there so I'm not 100 on the specifics. I was listening on the radio when it happened. If we can secure the victory look for Biggie to return for swo or Ayden Grifton. Very excited for the game against Goldsboro. I think w/o Biggie and Freshwater that the game will be close.
Less than 10 pts either way. The Freshwater loss is a huge hit especially considering they have a bruising back.
Swo#1, I don't need the stream for your game because you do such a great job up here updating it play by play.
Goldsboro has players who could be special to different programs the coaching or program does not show the athletes they have

Its a trip listening to Billy and Melvin do the play by play. They always give names, #s, formations, and the score at least at the end of the drive most times more. A lot of broadcast announcers are terrible. You never know whats going on or how it happened. I listened to a playoff game, wont say who, but about 70% dead air ..... and their tone was like they were calling a funeral. I had to turn it off after less than a half.
If Goldsboro executes and puts four quarters together we may be seeing shades of last years 15 over 2 first round outcome. They have a young coach who wants to win and reflects on the losses and won't hesitate to take blame when necessary. He believes in his players and goes the extra mile away from the field to try and help those young men better themselves and have opportunities after high school. Sometimes it doesn't work but it won't be because he didn't try. Having been thrust into the position earlier than anticipated I can truly say I support Coach 100%.
Our announcers aren't very good. It's very hard trying to figure out what's really going on.
Well I guess you get what you pay for. In any case if we do play Friday I will still listen. I'm sure we will have somebody(s) there from SWO, as will NE at our game.
They will have a good opportunity to knock us off. Thursday night will be the time because we will be without two of our best players unfortunately. Hopefully our other kids can man up and get us thru to the 2nd Rd where everyone will be back.
That rb worries me. For those not very familiar with our program the loss of Freshwater is huge. I won't make any excuses if we lose, you guys have had to adjust after losing Kaba. Some up here have stated that they think you guys have become even better now without him
I told coach that I hope we get to play at Clinton. I've never been there and really want to go. He assured me that I would get my wish and to stop worrying. I'm by no means saying we would win that game if it happened. I'm just stating that I love traveling to new venues.
Freshwater is a big deal. If you get passed this one you will certainly need him against Ayden Grifton lol

If I had to make a prediction on that game I would go with swo. I just think they'll want it more than Ayden Grifton because of the possible opportunity that awaits them.
Yeah I wish he had sat out the Ptank game. We could've sat our starters and still won easily imo. Now he's out for at least one game. There's no guarantee we win that
Historically, Goldsboro is a lot better this time of year than earlier in the season. While teams improve over the season, they seem to improve more than most.
Our dance team is a bunch of hoochies. Not them personally. Just saying that their routines can be found at some of the finest strip clubs around. Every week, I have to remind myself "high school, high school..." But then the devil in me says "well, some of them ARE 18!" Lol. But the thing is, where we are, Friday nights are more than just a football game. The whole thing is a gathering, party, and place of entertainment. So I get it. But wow.
Not sure if you stuck around for the 5th quarter when we played but both dance teams routines were borderline sir mix alot video worthy lol.

I had no choice...I drew snack and drink duty that game it was struggle for me and my subconscious. I just kept telling myself "concentrate on the cooler" was about to stick my head in the ice water of cooler!
This is the first time in quite a long time that NE will be playing a 1st rd game that were not 4 td plus favorites. I look for this game to be closer than everyone else is saying. We just need to survive and advance. I don't care if it's a 1 pt win, if we can just make it to next wk.
Thing is, if it's just a 1pt victory, which I'll take any day off the week, people are gonna tell you that NE is overrated.
