Since I don’t think I personally know any Gonzaga fans I don’t really have an opinion there but there sure were some obnoxious fans shown at the game

It was just a matter of time before that Kentucky Wildcat took a bite out of their ***. It'll take awhile for that to heal.
Now you can go back to your sorry *** league and play your sorry *** schedule and get your number one or number two seed. ....
But remember you didn't get that Kentucky win. Might be a three or four seed now... my bad!
Sorry for ya.

It’s been a long time since we have been able to make fun of anyone!
That’s true. I never liked the CBP hire from the word go. It’s pretty remarkable that it has taken Coach Pope and his staff only a few months to pull the program out from that players-first cancer culture. But the mass exodus of CBP players after the end of last season certainly helped accelerate the process.

With the exception of Dook and NCarolina, as a longtime UK fan I’m reluctant to criticize other basketball fan bases for being smug. One of those glass house things I suppose.

Does anyone think that Bob from Jamestown is as smug as Devin from Seattle who despite being a millionaire drove a Prius to the game? Covered in bumper stickers...

Ugly side of UK fan base knuckle draggers farting the air from their harry azz mouths with these posts. Gonzaga is a jesuit college of only 5,000 students and they have become a national basketball power somehow, and I respect them.

The halftime trash talking where they were laughing at our defense. The Ike dude who could do no wrong. He could walk, foul, set moving screens, throw elbows. The worst refs I've ever seen who looked like they were on the take. Their Dusty scrub who faked his way into a foul. The court that was probably named by Greta Thunberg. My goodness this was one of the sweetest wins in my lifetime.
Yeah, that Ike got away with a lot. He face blocked Carr--looked like that wrestling move where you poke a guy's eye. He also planted himself in the lane--I counted at least three 3 sec calls that should have been made.
And the T on Garrison? Good Lord.

You think I am a knuckle dragger? How did you arrive at that brilliant summation? Gonzaga had multiple smug players with a we got this attitude for a good deal of the game.

It always kills me when UK fans begin pointing fingers at other fan bases regarding smugness, particularly during the CBP days 🤣🤣
Well I find a reason to despise every team and their fanbase when UK plays. Gonzaga doesn’t make it hard. From being media darlings to having a bunch of Dookie wannabes on their team. Their fanbase sure appeared to be running their mouth last night. I absolutely loved seeing our guys waiving bye to those asshats. Guess it comes with living around douchebag Indiana fans that put a really big chip on my shoulder lol!

Climate pledge arena says it all. Even if you are all in on that, to name your arena for your moralizing ******** is douche level epic.
Got this from the arena website:
"Our goal is to be the most progressive, responsible and sustainable arena in the world."

Yeah, until you decide to build a newer more expensive arena in 5 years, dumping lots more CO2 into the atmosphere with the tear-down and rebuild. You can't see it, but my eyes could not be rolled any further up inside my head.

No, they’re a bunch of tree hugging, transgender lovin’, EV driving fruits with a drunk for a coach.
Piss on every damn one of them.

You're so Newsmax brain-washed you'll be sitting up to your neck in the next Western Carolina Huricanne flood and will spit out the same inane brain-dead mantras with your last gurgle.

Not sure how on earth this became a politicized end game result, but here we are (again....)....

Who gives a sh*t about the arena name or the political/personal beliefs of the opposing team's fans? All I care about is watching their fans cry because they were so smug after the first half only to watch their asses get handed to them at the end. That people are so obsessed with politics that they get pleasure not only from our team beating theirs, but that there's some satisfaction from beating people who are quite possibly "libs" shows the stain of our current society.

Who cares?!?!

Re-watched the game this morning and saw him throw some shoulders in there too. There was one in particular early on where he threw an obvious shoulder into Oweh and the refs called a foul on Oweh. That set the precedence for him to continue because he even got worse after that. That was imo the only reason he was the leading scorer of the game. I give him credit for fighting for rebounds and getting second chance points, but he got away with a lot of over-the-top physicality.

In retrospect, I suppose if given the chance I would take advantage of that too.

My wife commented that the Gonzaga fans look different. Hard to believe she looked from her phone long enough to notice.
I'm from KY and can say this, but you probably know what people from the pacific northwest say when they see photos of some of our fans in the stands at Rupp...just saying. We aren't the most sophisticated bunch down in the southeastern USA, if you get what I mean.

I'm a knuckle dragger only because I have really long arms and bend my knees a lot when I walk. My wife and her brother are taller than me but can't reach up into the higher cabinets in the house. When I hear my wife say: "Hey monkey boy" I know she needs me to get stuff she can't reach.

I was 5 in taller than my brother when we played basketball. He would block my shots all the time. Now he was a great leaper. One day I told him to put his arm up and I put my arm up, and his fingertips went higher than mine.

Yeah, I was a decent athlete growing up and had some ups but not a super high jumper. However, at 5' 7" in high school I could jump up and grab the rim. Could not dunk it but could get the rim.

Saw a lot of dancing from that crowd, not taking the game seriously as if the win was a foregone conclusion. Right up to the minute they filed their smug asses out of there. Late in the game I noticed one of their fans imploring them to stand, to no avail.

I was watching the postgame from Few and was thinking how arrogant he sounded. He did not really give us any credit for the win but rather just said they missed open shots. Few is a good enough coach to recognize the changes that were made at the half and the better energy and execution by our players but would not acknowledge it.

Wrote the book on smug.
Gonzaga's got a good little basketball program. along the lines of Auburn & Miami of Florida. No more, no less. Their fans thinks that they have arrived at the top of the basketball world, when the fact is they haven't even made the trip. ZERO, NADA, ZILCH that's how many national championships they've won.
