Sucks to lose, but I saw a damn good football team in the first half. We need to clean it up and clean it up in a hurry. Second half was dreadful, but not giving up hope. The offense in the first half was explosive and the defense was getting picks like candy.

Very very tough first game. Southern Miss could be this year's Houston.

Try not to get too down guys, the first half showed the true team. Hopefully we will learn from this.

We are playing Southern Miss. Wait until we play in the SEC and finish out with Lamar. This is the typical football season. All preseason talk that the players believe in. It is like a liar telling a lie. Over time, they start to believe their own lies. I have given up on this football program when Joker took over. No heart, no raw talent, and no depth.

Talent..is the OP blind or is this a joke? We had more penalty yards in the 2nd half, than yards gained.. I have watched FB for 50 years and I have never seen this before. Jordan Jones had 19 tackles w/13 solos..I will take that each game but this kid needs some help in a hurry..The UK offense had 14 snaps in the 2nd half..14 snaps..I can't even comprehend that..

They key is getting the offense to run like it did in the first half for an entire game. I think if we can do this we can score enough points to win. Will need to have the defense step up though. To this point, they haven't showed they can.

I'm sorry but i am not buying this crap. I don't care what anyone says, when you play in the SEC and have been recruiting like we have been the last few years, Southern Miss shouldn't be a problem, first game or not. What a joke! Yeah, we have talent. We all knew this before the game even started. The point being, what good is talent if you can't do anything with it? This entire season is shot all to heck after game 1. I am fair and willing to give any coach time, but after a few years of his own recruiting classes, i don't think it's unfair to expect and ask the coach to beat Southern Miss. It's not like we're talking Bama here. Southern Miss!
