LA 28 HC 7 final. Hoping HC will be stronger next year as it returns 16 contributors from this year's squad, including 4 OL, its RB and QB, with a talented sophomore class coming up.

LA clearly a knotch above HC today. HC showed flashes of life and put up a decent fight but overall it wasn't much of a contest IMO. LA won the battle of up front on both sides of the ball. Good luck to the Ramblers going forward, and hope to see'em again next year.

When was the last time the Silver did not have a team in the quarterfinals? With HC and GW drivIng the majority- what maybe 10 years?

Is Willowbrook still in it on the 6A side from the Gold Division?

Willowbrook still in

GW out in Round 2 in 2011 as well to LZ at Duchon

Not sure what other WSS teams did that year, but it has been a long day.

CCL-G was also a disappointment this year @capnbillhitters, so I feel your pain. Would the Hitters have been better off playing this at the Mud Bowl, Duchon? I feel like they gave up leverage putting this game on turf.

I️ think Oswego puts it on worse at Duchon. Thunder is a tank and he might have created three bills on Duchon. Not because GW is weak, those guys played their *** off yesterday. But Oswego has a huge strong line and the measurements of Thunder are off. He looks bigger than 6’1” 210. My eyes said 6’3” 235.

Didn’t get to see any film on them before the game but they run the old Joe Gibbs style offense. The Counter Trey works when you have four things: A big strong tackle that can block down and hold his edge, two fast and agile linemen that can pull and get to the edge created by your big man, then running behind them, a back that runs with his feet low to the ground. Gibbs won three Super Bowls with that formula but it works best when you have no fear of chucking the ball down field.

Oswego’s pullers are impressive and the guy going to Iowa, 58, is an edge setter extraordinaire on the high school level. Thunder doesn’t always hit the hole ready to go 80, but he is awful tough to stop from getting 8. In mud he would have been much more of a load, which is what @NNFAN caught last week.

They will need every bit of that beef next week. Congrats to the Hitters on a good year. See at our place next year!
