OU wins gymnastics and finished #1 in golf at the Thunderbird Invitational. But but but we lost to Texas in softball. It was a good day to be a Sooner.
in all honesty, if I could only choose one, between the OU women winning the Gymnastics natty, or OU sweeping Texas in Austin, I would always take the natty, as much as I hate Texas. And I think the loss will help us long term in pursuit of a softball natty. The streak record would have been neat, but like Patty said earlier this week, the natty trophy is the real goal.
I think we all knew at some point the ladies were going to lose a game or two. Just hated that it was to Texas but I honestly believe losing a game is good in the long run. It takes the “streak” pressure of them and should now enable them to refocus.
PG will have her team ready come the post season.
