Dear Students,
As you prepare to take a break from your studies, I want to wish you a safe and
enjoyable week off. I hope you will return from Spring Break with a renewed
focus on academics.
Since becoming president in January, I have had a chance to meet and talk with
many of you, and I look forward to continuing that interaction when spring
semester resumes. I have been impressed with the quality of our student body and
the determination so many of you have demonstrated in pursuing the educational
goals you have set.
I have seen the pride you have for Mississippi State, which is something I share
very passionately. We appreciate the confidence you have shown in our university
by choosing to attend MSU and are committed to providing you with the best
education possible in a responsive and student-friendly environment.
I want to ask you to do something for your university during the coming week by
helping to recruit the next wave of Bulldogs. Wear your Mississippi State
apparel while you are on break, encourage prospective students to consider MSU,
and invite them to visit the campus. The contacts you make could help convince
some of the best and brightest students to choose Mississippi State.
