Good god...don't start crying about the refs. We are being outplayed. UK looks like a grade school team at the moment. Worst defense I've seen all year. Its like they don't care at all.
Bad D or not...a foul is a foul bud. WCS got raped on that "blocked shot" they had.
Granted we cannot hit FTs anyways, but he still should have had the chance to do it.
Yes, it almost like the SEC refs feel sorry for the other team, so they let them get away with street ball tactics against Kentucky's bigs. And don't get me started about the blatant moving screens the aggies have been getting away with. That being said, our bigs need to quit throwing up garbage at the rim. WCS need to get his rear low and quit letting them push him off the block! ok, I'm done venting now..

The only fix for this (outside of the league doing the right thing of course) is to start throwing elbows and force the refs to clamp down. That's one of the things that forced the NBA to do something (stars got frustrated and started giving it right back so the league was forced to call things straight up) and ncaa teams (we aren't the only ones who get this treatment) may have to do it as well.

I can't even watch the 2nd half live - my frustration level is too high with these calls. For those that remember how the game used to be played, the last decade or so of basketball has been frustrating in general. Rather than a great season of games all year long, it's a few bright spots among the frustrating hack-em style it's now become.
I'll watch the 2nd half via DVR once I know the result so I can ignore the referees and hopefully concentrate on the game.

If they called fouls on the interior the same on both ends, either aTm would have 5 fouled out and the Cats about 40 FT attempts, or UK would win points in the paint in absolute blood baths.

Guys, I'm telling you, until Cal gets his fill of this and starts sending in enforcers from the bench to do nothing but return the favor, the referees are never going to call a fair game. I don't know if it's just not in someone's interest to do so, or if they're just inept, and it doesn't really matter. What matters is that we respond - the league understands nothing else. A like-kind response forces the officials to call the game tight, and then talent + effort wins. The hack-em style employed these days minimizes both talent and effort by rewarding laziness.
