Came in with zero players on roster. Hell of a job this year. Would have preferred to have a better showing but definitely more excited for the future and not as upset with the loss as I usually would be. Most of the time I'm miserable for a couple weeks after a tournament loss. This year I'm more excited for what's to come.

I think people often overlook this fact. There wasn’t much time to assemble a staff and a team. It is what it is at this point. Injuries definitely hurt this team and losing Robinson was a huge hit. I think he did the best he could with the time he was given.

Same. It sucks to end on a total bed ****, but overall they overachieved. This will probably be popes least athletic team of his tenure, so it’s gonna be ok.

I enjoyed this season more than any since 2015. (The 2019-2020 season may have ended up fun but COVID and all...)

On to next year! Get us some player in the portal, Pope!

I'm happy... Only disappointment is not seeing the whole team healthy. I can't wait for year 3, when the system has had a chance to be built in, assuming we can keep players. Let him get some more athletic players, and a 2 years under his system, I think we will see good results... We are ahead where I thought we would be.. Those spouting we are Kentucky... Blah blah, unexceptable... Have no clue the current landscape of ncaa basketball..and how low Cal had run us into the ground..

They exceeded my expectations for the year. The end was bitter, but it is for all but one team every year. I like our future.

I think Popes needle is pointing straight up. He's a players coach and today's athletes will gravitate to his style and his passion.

I think he will continue to surround himself with good coaches and as a group will recruit transfers very well.

Non elite freshman getting big minutes isn't going to cut it with the current landscape.

Can't wait to see who the next 1 year players will be šŸ˜’

We have a stable of really good young guards.

Injuries hurt us this year, but the silver lining is that a couple guys got some run and a head start on developing.

All in all, great season. A S16 run with an entirely new and staff is something to be proud of.

I would double down with Chandler, Perry, Noah, Garrison and Oweh running and gunning. Just find some big bodied guys who can throw weight around, clear space, set screens, and get rebounds for more opportunities for all the above mentioned.

good year overall but they didn’t even show up tonight which is disappointing. Pope made zero adjustments and shows zero emotions.
Probably because SCREAMING RUN at the top of his lungs doesn't work ... even when your entire roster is filled with McDAAs much less patchwork quilt of players just wanting to pull on a UK jersey to live out a childhood fantasy. UK wasn't winning that game and it was pretty obvious midway through the first half. This was the end of a pretty incredible season and we all should recognize that, be thankful and look forward to better days on the hardwood. JMO.
