Trying to break free of some of the threads on this board, mostly of which are negative-- understandably so given the season to date. So please share some good work stories you have experienced or heard. I will start since its my thread..................

Was in St. Louis a couple of weeks ago and went to a Blues game with a friend there who is a retired plumber. Asked if he had any good stories he could share with me. And he told me this:

A plumber friend of his went out on a call. After he completed the repairs, the lady of the house decided to get quite friendly with him, and the plumber obliged and took advantage of the situation. A week later the office sent her the bill. A few days later the bill was returned to the office with no check, but a note across the bill that read....... "your plumber has already been paid."

When I was in grad school I worked valet at a high end hotel. Too many crazy stories to tell but my favorite was getting domed up in the back stairwell by a drunk guest while working NYE. Her boyfriend was apparently in their room upstairs.

On a conference call with my Bluetooth headset, have to take a piss, thought I’d muted, double checked after pissing but before flushing, 40-50 people just got to enjoy hearing me take a piss.

Had a nuclear engineer fly in on a COD aboard the USS Enterprise while we were steaming across the Atlantic about to lay some serious wood to Al-Qaeda.

He set his sea bag on the quaterdeck and proceeded to walk right past the OOD, as he was directing him to go with two other nukes for indoc, on through the hangerbay and right off of an aircraft elevator 3 stories down into the deep blue.

The launched a rescue team and the sent him right back out on the same plane he came in on.

Glad he didn't make it to the reactor room...
