Left leg buckled on a non-contact injury. This looks really bad.

First report from the Royals a "strained left groin." Severity of the strain NOT announced...but still, better news than I expected from how it looked.

The team better not let me down because of this.

I might have to become a Cubs fan.

They interviewed him today and he said that when he pushed off to stretch out to catch the ball, he felt it pop and just collapsed. He felt bad that he gave up the inside the park home run but said he was in so much pain that he couldn't get up. He said he hopes to be back earlier than 8 weeks, but I hope he doesn't push it. It would be easy to reinjure. He really isn't sure of the rehab process yet as they are wanting to let it start healing and then get to rehab.

It's pretty clear that the Royals are the class of the central, so as long as he is back by Late September they should be just fine.
