If we come out, on our first drive and run the ball, this is a totally different ballgame in my opinion. We have 3 dynamic running backs and a O-Line that’s blocking well for the run. Get them boys rolling early. We’re overthinking it here and the first game of the season. I mean, it works! 300-400 yards rushing is what we are this year- do it! You can’t establish the run, after we are down two scores. A 5 star running back should touch the ball, the first offensive possession of every game. Our first 3 plays were lil hitch routes. 5 wide, etc
so we are play off the passing game and we don’t have to. Just my 2 cents. Obviously we are all spectators. Maybe the coaches see things that we miss

I'd be happy to provide film from Morris on how to run the "T" formation if ESL wants to commit to the ground and pound offense.

Play to your talent. ESL has the horses, don't get unnecessarily fancy.

The Flyers played like a jr high school team, Just calling like I see it, there is a lot of work to be done changes on o line for starters. Db’s got beat all night should have put safety back early. Put one back at last minute and got int. Gonna be alright just have a lot of work to do, watching this game in person If the Flyers had their stuff together could have and should have won. Again a lot of work to do

East St. Louis used Reece Shanklin at quarterback in the first half and one play in the second half before putting in backup Jadon Wilson for the rest of the game.

“You’d like to play each week to try to get better,” Flyers head coach Darren Sunkett said. “I’m sure we definitely built up some rust with that bye week that we were forced to have. We didn’t play the way we wanted to play in Week 1 so we definitely were looking forward to Week 2.”

“We knew we were going to do that,” he said. “That was our plan going in, to play both quarterbacks and see what they look like.”
Much of the Flyers’ success in the second half came with their running game.

Ahmad Coleman rushed for 119 yards on 11 carries, and Amir Tillman had 90 yards on eight carries.

“It was the same as Week 1,” Sunkett said. “We feel like we can definitely run the ball. Our thing is now can we deliver the ball to our wideouts? We’ve got a group of outstanding wideouts and for two games in a row now we’ve not been able to get those guys the ball.”

I will echo, and admittedly have not watched both East Side games in full, but it looks almost like there are TOO many mouths to feed. If pounding the rock is the strength, gotta go with that imho.

Calm down. They just played the #2 team in the country. BG will make most any team look bad.

Not upset #1 or 2 they should have played better sometimes you just have to call it like you see it. BG is not the BG of the past they were and are very beatable.

To my point in an earlier post, I now see that sunk knows he can run the ball. They are working on being a balanced team. Building chemistry between the Qbs and wideouts. From this take, the goal is to get better and be unstoppable come November
