Zona is the best team. Duke still has to go through MSU/ UCONN winner, probably a really good Illinois team, and then ZONA/michigan. Not an easy road.

They will walk to the title.. but i think Arizona will throttle them, and I think Michigan will win a close one. But they both need to make it that far.. which dont be shocked if you see some squirrely **** in their games to come.. just saying.

St. Johns literally handed that game to them by benching Prey. It makes no sense. Duke continues to get bailed out either by the officials, bad coaching, or both.

Yeah I didn't understand why Prey sat and never came back in. He was on fire from 3 and then just sat the bench rest of the game. The game turned when Duke went to the zone when they were down close to 10 and I think Prey was on the bench and never came back in.

The reason they can win it is Big Boozer. (And all the crap the refs let him get away with).

The reason the might lose it is little Boozer.

Freshman point guard, that's dicey when the heat gets hot.

Pitino needs to be called out for that. That is a huge coaching gaffe, maybe one of the biggest gaffes in this tournament. Unless im missing something.

That game got to a 10 pt lead with his 3 I think.. and then he went out and Duke closes it out.

But thats why I dont trust Duke. Siena almost beats them. TCU gets absolutely hosed. Pitino hands the game away.

a strong lineup, but they've already beaten MSU, Mich and ILL... whoever plays dook will have their hands full....they've only lost 2 games with last second shots....

Sadly, have to root to Uconn here. The only coach who likes losing to Duke more than Mike Brey, is Izzo. That sad sack of **** almost gives games away to Duke.

I also would LOVE to see Hurley react to the Duke whistle which I dont believe he has yet to see. He will lose it, and honestly maybe its a good thing if Hurley goes nuclear. Maybe the NCAA finally dials it back.

I don’t think they will, actually. Historically, the team that wins it all doesn’t struggle with their opening round game. And Arizona looks spectacular. Or maybe I’m just telling myself this to numb the pain.

Duke almost lost to Siena. They needed ref help for TCU, and they needed pitino to do something so inexplicably dumb. Yeah their two losses were by a point.. but not sure that matters when the ACC is garbage. The rest of that conference is i think 2-4 in the tournament, with no other team making a S16.. and their two play in teams lost their first game. The ACC really was trash this year. No other way around it. Sec at least has an excuse that we had to come back down after last year..

The ACC is just a poverty sports conference at this point.. let's be honest. Theyre a nobody in football and for basketball its just Duke at the top, UNC and Virginia kind of in there.. and thats about it.

Duke was impressive in the second half. They shut St. John’s down in the half court. St. John’s couldn’t generate any easy baskets.

Thankfully Izzo at least beat that Zion team. I will always have a special place in my heart for him for that one.

Duke didn’t play Illinois this year.
did beat Michigan-and MSU, but ZONA is better than all. Not saying they won’t win, but it’s not a cakewalk like some of the people on here to alluding to. I say they don’t even make the championship game.

SJU got completely jobbed 24-8 FT disparity, they were actually the better team.

The TCU game was the real travesty, because it flipped on a dime in the 2nd half and TCU was much more balanced.

The problem with Siena and SJU is that both teams did launch a ton of 3s. Where Duke played inside. Duke inevitably was gonna get more FTs. But it should not have been that big of a disparity.

Duke gets Cal talent but a better coach. It's a perfect storm unfortunately. But I think Arizona or UConn are more likely to win it.

I mean to be fair St. John’s did nothing but shoot 3s all game while Duke lived underneath the basket. The game wouldn’t even be close if they shot their season average of 33%. They hit like 13 3s at a near 50% clip. Thats insane.

Boozer uses his off hand to clear out the defender (every time). They play ultra aggressive defense and have four fouls after 15 minutes. They're like the wrestler with the foreign object behind his back while the ref pretends to not notice.
Boozer shot more free throws than the entire St John’s team. Just another 5 on 8 game .

I’ve never in my life seen a team get help from the media and refs like Duke. I admit, I’m very biased toward Kentucky but when my wife that knows absolutely zero about basketball says, “those umpires are cheating for that team” you know it’s bad.

Join planet Earth, TCU wasn’t winning that game even if you had reffed it! Duke by double digits Sunday over UCONN.
