GOT (and likely ASOIAF) Spoiler

Don't read this if you want to stay away from spoilers. I have a definite spoiler for season 6 of GOT, and we can extrapolate the same spoiler to the plot of the books.

I will add that the linked spoiler is nothing surprising and something that has been speculated upon/discussed many times on this site.

Just to tag along the Spanish editor says he expects TWOW to be out next year. I know that is far from official but apparently he is close to Martin. It is something.

There has been some other speculation that Martin is on track to get it to readers before the start of GOT season 6. That would mean a release in the the first 3-4 months of 2016. We shall see.

He has said that he won't make an announcement until the book is finished. I'm not sure if that means he would announce something when it was in the final rounds of editing, or when it was submitted to the publisher. My guess would be that we will hear something as soon as it goes to the publisher, because that would be the point where they could announce a date with no concerns of having to make a subsequent announcement that they need more time.
