If the coaches go this route, I'll ride with them. It definitely puts some pressure on Brown, Ash, and AG to be ready to play this season. I really think the minutes need to come down for BMac, Lindsey and Law so they have legs at the end of games and towards the end of the season / post-season. We'll be loaded at the 4.

I recommend people share whatever the f$?! they want to since all anyone is doing here is sharing info from other sites. Best to credit the source so others can then follow it but really google remains the best tool to follow recruiting.

What the F are you talking about?
My comment and the one I replied to refer to the fact that a thread about this VERY player already existed here, of which the OP was apparently unaware. That's why I suggested to do a simple search on this site before opening a new thread about him. No advantage to have multiple threads discussing the same player or issue.
Best I can tell no one was questioning sharing material from other sites.

Are you talking about the same player discussed in this thread? He's a 6-8 235 PF. I fail to see how he'd put pressure on the guards to be ready. Including AG, there are 5 of them to cover 2 spots, anyhow.

Because those would be the only guys behind BMac and Lindsey absent a grad transfer guard.

I expect to see improvement with Brown and hopefully Ash but I'm less optimistic with him as he has essentially no offensive game at this point. Gaines is a big question mark and Law and Lindsey need to range in about the 25-28 minute range. I think unless you get a stud grad transfer as a point guard and the options are dwindling then go for the best available which from the limited info out there seems to be the path Collins is taking

If you count the other wing position (old school SF), we've only got 6 to cover three spots. With Gaines untested and Ash unproven, it could be only four to cover three spots. Meanwhile, with Pardon, Benson, Skelley and Falzon all proven at the B1G level, and RI in the untested column, we have 4-5 guys covering the other two. It makes more sense, if we have the option, to bring in a guard/wing for the final spot.

While their minutes should probably come down, I have a hard time seeing how NU would be a good team if Law and Lindsey are only playing 25 minutes per game.

Why do you want to lump together the sF with the guards? Just branding Law 'wing' doesn't make him a legitimate back-up for the guards, or (most importantly) branding a guard 'wing' won't make him a legitimate backup for Law. As indicated elsewhere, Lindsey is (nearly) universally viewed as a guard (call it a wing or not) and his stats show he actually does (mostly) play like one, as opposed to Law who is (nearly) universally viewed as a sF and whose stats are consistent with that.

Fact is the only "pure" sF in the roster now other than Law is walk-on Hall. By that measure, the ideal grad transfer would be a sF (call it a wing or not), or someone who has proven that he can play that position semi-naturally (not just because someone brands him 'a wing' ).

Sorry, but I will post without doing pre-work, research, review for accuracy, whatever. It's what I do.

Gladeskat knows how sloppy I am in this regard.

This way I don't waste any of my time, and instead waste yours. That makes us even.

Enough already! This is rubbish. Stop living in the Stone Age. The game has evolved and the classic definitions and roles have changed. Throw out what you learned in sixth grade gym class about the chest pass and the five positions. Collins and staff forgot more about bball than you ever knew.

No problem with special lineups for special situations (match-ups, foul trouble, injury, specific tactical schemes, etc. etc.).
That wouldn't mean that NU's SG's (like Lindsey) are mostly exchangeable in most game situations with sF's (Law). Actual stats confirm Law mostly plays as a (traditional) F and Lindsey as a (traditional) guard (See Fr. top-100 4-star Georgetown 6-8 235 PF Agau to grad/transfer w. 2 years left)
